1. SCOPE - OVERVIEW

Provide all labour, materials, plant and equipment necessary for the complete shop detailing, supply and installation of Tiling, Waterproofing and Tactiles (the Subcontract Works) all in accordance with requirements of the Subcontract Documents, relevant Australian Standards and statutory regulations.

The scope Subcontract Works includes the following:

a) Cement sand screeds to set downs in wet areas

b) Membrane waterproofing to wet area floors and shower walls

c) Floor tiling

d) Wall tiling

e) Tiled splashbacks

f) External tiled paving

g) Tactile indicators & stair nosing

h) Entrance floor mats

2. TRADE - GENERAL

2.1 The Subcontractor is to allow for compliance with all OHS requirements and obligations as stipulated in SCC-NSW-HSE-001 WHS Specification for Subcontractors – NSW - Revision U: March 2018;

2.2 The Subcontractor is to allow for compliance with all requirements and obligations as stipulated in SUBCONTRACTOR PRELIMINARIES & GENERAL INCLUSIONS Revision 1 – 05/06/2018.

2.3 The Subcontractor is to allow for OHS induction of its workmen prior to commencement of work on site. Induction will consist of: - Project specific induction on site - On line induction as per Online Induction Guide

identified in the Tender Documents and where not expressly identified the minimum standards for the Works are to be in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and / or Codes of Practice.

2.5 The Subcontract Works are to be carried out and completed to the satisfaction of Local Council regulations / requirements, Civil & Structural Engineer(s), the Builder, and all relevant statutory authorities. Subcontractor must provide notice prior to the required inspections.

3. SCOPE – TRADE SPECIFIC

The scope of subcontract Works includes the following specific requirements:

3.1 Cement sand screeds a. Supply and installation of cement sand floor screeds in set downs in the

following areas: • All WC’s and amenities (excluding airlock) in Main Office • Male and female WC’s (excluding airlock) in Dock Office • All cleaners rooms

b. Floor screeds are average 50mm thick, laid to fall towards floor wastes and

properly finished to received membrane waterproofing.

c. Allow for adjustment of screed thicknesses to suit step downs and / or marrying of floor tile finishes to adjoining floor surface finishes.

3.2 Membrane waterproofing

a. Supply and installation of membrane waterproofing to the following areas: • Floor screeds of WC’s floors, amenities, cleaners rooms including

150mm upturn at floor/wall junctions. • Shower walls (plasterboard lined or concrete) to 1800mm high above

finished floor level.

b. Membrane waterproofing must be compatible with the tile adhesives for subsequent installation of ceramic tile finishes.

c. Waterproof applications to be in accordance with BCA and AS3740. Certification to be provided and include the verification that the waterproof application is an accredited product in accordance with Part A2.2 of the BCA. Certification by the subcontractors waterproofing material supplier also to be provided.

3.3 Floor Tiling

a. Supply and installation of ceramic floor tiles to the following areas: • All WC’s and amenities (excluding airlock) in Main Office • Male and female WC’s (including airlock) in Dock Office • All cleaners rooms

b. Allow to tile beneath fixed joinery items (i.e. joinery to be installed on tiled

floors).

c. The floor tiles to be supplied and installed are Tile CT-01 (refer Finishes Legend) as follows: Johnson Tile – Sorrento: Grey Matt (Code: 715569) or equal approved

d. Allow for forming 100mm high tiled skirting using the same floor tiles.

e. Allow for epoxy tile grouting. Colour to match tile colour and to be approved by the Builder.

3.4 Wall Tiling

a. Supply and installation of ceramic wall tiles to the following areas: • All WC’s and amenities (including airlock) in Main Office • Male and female WC’s (including airlock) in Dock Office

b. Allow to tile behind fixed joinery items and mirror in wet areas (i.e, joinery and mirrors to be fixed on wall tiling).

c. Allow to extend wall tiling 100mm above false ceiling level.

d. Allow to tile wall access panels where required.

e. The wall tiles to be supplied and installed are Tile WT01 (refer Finishes Legend) as follows: Skheme or equal approved. 100x200mm Rectified Colour – Basin White Gloss

f. Tiles to be laid in stack bond pattern and to full height of walls (to false ceiling level).

g. Allow for epoxy tile grouting. Colour to match tile colour and to be approved by the Builder.

3.5 Tiled Splashbacks

a. Supply and installation of wall tiles to form splashbacks to the following: 600mm High splashback to kitchen joinery in Main office:

- Kitchen in Office Lunch (Joinery code: J08) - Kitchen in Lunchroom (Joinery code: J09) - Kitchen in Drivers (Joinery code: J.11)

600mm High splashback to kitchen joinery in Dock Office

- Kitchen in “Receiving” 1.2m High splashbacks behind cleaners sinks

- Cleaners Room in Main Office (next to First Aid) – 1000mm wide - Cleaners Room in Main Office (next to Drivers) – to full width of wall - Cleaners Room in Dock Office – to full width of wall

b. The wall tiles to be supplied and installed for kitchen joinery splashbacks are Tile SB (refer Finishes Legend) as follows: Skheme or equal approved. 100x200mm Rectified Colour – Basin White Gloss

c. The wall tiles to be supplied and installed for cleaner sink splashback are: Australian Building Ceramics Size: 200x200mm Colour: TK-19-67 (OP) Mongri Nevro R10 finish

d. Tiles to be laid in stack bond pattern.

e. Allow for epoxy tile grouting. Colour to match tile colour and to be approved by the Builder.

3.6 External Tiled Paving

a. Supply and installation of paving tiles to the following areas: - Tile paved areas in front of the Main Office - Tile paved area of Open Space - Tile paved area of Smoke Shelter

b. The paving tiles to be supplied and installed for kitchen joinery splashbacks are ?????

c. Allow for installing paving tiles to level substrates, ramps and stairs.

d. Allow for tile grouting. Colour to match tile colour and to be approved by the Builder.

3.7 Stair Nosing and Tactiles

a. Supply and installation of approved proprietary anti-slip stair nosing to external Stair 5 (adjacent to Open Space) Stair nosing to be surface mounted type consisting of anodised aluminium section and anti-slip insert. Acceptable product: Latham 734STsurface mounted nosing or similar. Colour of anti-slip inserts to be selected by the Builder from the manufacturer’s standard colour range.

b. Supply and installation of approved proprietary tactile indicators to the following locations:

- External Stair 5 (adjacent to Open Space - Pram ramps on the pedestrian footpath leading from the carpark to

Main Office entry

Tactile indicators to be in grade 316 stainless steel suitable for fixing to concrete and tiled substrates, carborundum insert. Colour of insert to be selected by the Builder from the manufacturer’s standard colour range. Acceptable product: Pathfinders Systems THITS20PSSTINCAR or similar.

c. Allow for installation (including drilling) of tactile indicators in concrete, tile

paved or asphalt substrates.

3.8 Entrance Floor Mats

a. Supply and installation of approved proprietary entrance floor mats to the following locations:

- Main entrance to Main Office - Entrance to Lunch Room Foyer - Entrance to Lunchroom from Open Space

b. Floor mats to be recess mounted carpet type complete with mounting frames in anodised aluminium. Acceptable product: Latham Type RDCC or similar Carpet finish to be selected by the Builder from the manufacturer’s colour range.

b. Allow for supply and installation of levelling compound for setting and installing the mat frames to level.

3.9 Other trade specific requirements.

a. Submission of technical data and samples of materials for review and approval by the Builder prior to commencement of work.

b. All necessary hoisting/lifting equipment for installation of the Subcontract Works, and for horizontal and vertical movements of the Subcontractor’s plant and materials.

c. Setting out of the Subcontract Works.

d. Allow for preparation of setting out drawings for all tiling work to depict the proposed setting out of tile finishes, and submit the same to the Builder for review and approval prior to commencement of tiling work.

e. All floor tiles finishes to be provided with pendulum test certification and achieve a slip resistance classification under wet & dry conditions to comply with AS4586:2004 “Slip Resistance Classification of New Pedestrian Surface Materials”. Slip resistance data sheets are to be submitted prior to installation.

f. Permanent sanitary fixtures and fitments shall not be used to wash tradesman tools of tiling tradesmen. The Subcontractor must clean up its work areas on a daily basis and upon completion.

g. For all tiling finishes, allow for the following: - Cutting of tiles to suit falls, setting out, drain outlets and bathroom

fitments, joinery items and the like. - Supply and installation of all accessories such as wall tile trims for

termination of tiles at corners. - Supply and installation of division strips at junction between floor tiling

and other floor finishes

h. Provide protection of floor wastes to prevent entry of unwanted materials and drain blockage.

i. The Subcontractor is to provide silicon and / or mastic joint sealing (including backing rod) where tiling abuts a different materials and surfaces, fixtures, door frames, window frames, window reveals and sills, joinery items, etc. and as required. The tiling subcontractor is to ensure all vertical jointing is performed by a joint sealing specialist. All joint sealing work is to carried out after initial building clean.

j. Floor wastes and grated drains will be provided by others and installed by the Subcontractor. Where these are installed by others the Subcontractor will provide the required levels for the drains so that they will be installed to the correct levels.

k. Submission of maintenance manuals.

l. Provide Coreflute as temporary protection of finished floor tiling and after trade cleaning. Temporary protection to be removed by others for initial/final building clean.

l. Trade cleaning of the Subcontract Works.

4 WARRANTIES & DEFECTS LIABILITY PERIOD

4.1 Allow to provide warranties for materials and workmanship for the

Subcontract Works as follows:

4.2 The subcontractor is to allow for an 18-month defects liability period after

completion of the Project.

1. WORK HEALTH & SAFETY (WHS)

1.1. Hansen Yuncken is engaged by the Principal or Proprietor as a “Principal Contractor” under the WHS Legislations. The Subcontractor must comply with Hansen Yuncken’s instruction and do all things as necessary in a manner which satisfies the obligations under the Legislations.

1.2. The Subcontractor must at all time comply with and the “Subcontractor Specification for Work, Health and Safety”.

2. SITE ACCESS & LIMITATIONS

2.1. The access to Site is in strict control by Hansen Yuncken. The Subcontractor is only allowed to access to and egress from the Site through the following location/s:-

• 400 Moorebank Avenue, Mooorebank

2.2. Parking on Site is unavailable unless a designated parking area has been provided. A designated parking will not be provided by Hansen Yuncken. Vehicle can only travel within ________ / Site. No access is permitted outside the ________.

2.3. The Subcontractor shall note the access road to site is shared with other parties. The Subcontractor shall take caution when driving in and out of the access road to and from Moorebank Avenue.

3. ACCOMMODATION & AMENITIES

3.1. Hansen Yuncken will provide ablutions, lunch and change facilities for the Subcontractor’s workers.

(a) Any ablutions, lunch or change facilities provided by Hansen Yuncken will be for use by all site workers. Unless expressly stated elsewhere, no facility will be provided for the sole use of a single subcontractor.

(b) The Subcontractor is responsible for the health, safety and security of any items they have left in ablutions, lunch or change facilities provided by Hansen Yuncken. The Subcontractor is responsible for the provision of lockable chests, or other means for the safe keeping of their workers personal belongings and tool kits.

3.2. The Subcontractor shall clean up after themselves inside ablutions, lunch and change facilities including placing all food waste and litter in the appropriate bin.

3.3. Where the Subcontractor provides its own accommodation and amenities (subject to approval by Hansen Yuncken), the Subcontractor is responsible for:

(a) locating them in the area(s) designated by Hansen Yuncken;

(b) the installation and removal (including connection and disconnection of temporary services) with due diligence;

(c) their maintenance and regular cleaning (including the immediate surrounding areas);

(d) their security (including contents); and

(e) their legislative compliance.

3.4. The Subcontractor shall allow for relocations of their sheds or temporary accommodation, as they may be obstructing the Site progress.

(a) Where permissible displaying of sign boards or advertising material by the Subcontractor must be approved by Hansen Yuncken prior to installation.

4. ON-SITE COMMUNICATION

4.1. The Subcontractor is required to allow for necessary communication equipment.

4.2. In the event if any employee, worker or agent of the Subcontractor have difficulties to communicate in English, the Subcontractor is responsible to provide a competent interpreter. The competent interpreter shall remain on Site at all times to assist with communication.

5. ABORIGINAL PARTICIPATION IN CONSTRUCTION

5.1. The Subcontractor is required to comply with the project Aboriginal Participation Plan.

6. SITE INDUCTIONS

6.1. All workers must complete Hansen Yuncken’s mandatory site induction before commencing any work on the Site. The Subcontractor must allow for the attendance of the site induction.

6.2. If required under the Subcontract, the Subcontractor must obtain the required security clearance for each of its workers prior to commencing any works on Site. Hansen Yuncken will not be responsible for any delay by the Subcontractor in relation to the compliance with this requirement.

6.3. Site Inductions will be conducted daily commencing promptly at 7:00 am. The Subcontractor is to notify Hansen Yuncken of any personnel attending at a minimum 3 days prior to the induction. The Subcontractor must present a copy of the required documentation before attendance.

6.4. Prior to attending the site induction, all workers are required to have successfully completed Hansen Yuncken’s Online safety induction and must have a current “active status” / Hansen Yuncken’s Induction Card to enable the completion of a site-specific Induction.

6.5. All documentation required for upload to online induction system is to be legible and of

specified format. Worker’s photos must be passport grade and quality.

6.6. All site-inducted workers are required to sign-in and sign-out at Hansen Yuncken’s site the attendance register / electronic access point.

6.7. Hansen Yuncken’s Site Attendance Register will be accepted as a true record of site attendance.

6.8. The Subcontractor is not allowed to take any visitor on-Site without prior consent by Hansen Yuncken.

7. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

7.1. The subcontractor must at all times comply with all Environmental Legislation and Hansen Yuncken’s Environmental Management Plan (“EMP”).

8. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS

8.1. The Subcontractor must maintain material Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and a Hazardous Material / Substance Register and submit these documents to Hansen Yuncken upon request;

8.2. The Hazardous Material must be stored in accordance with legislated requirements at an area designated by Hansen Yuncken;

8.3. The Subcontractor must notify Hansen Yuncken on the discovery of and/or prior to the disposal of any contaminated or hazardous waste. All identified contaminated or hazardous waste is to be disposed of as specified by Hansen Yuncken and in compliance with EPA and legislated requirements. The waste disposal records from a certified waste management facility must be submitted to Hansen Yuncken for any contaminated or Hazardous waste removed from site.

8.4. If any part of the Subcontract Works involves the disturbance/removal of Asbestos Containing Material (“ACM”), the Subcontractor must affect and maintain an asbestos liability insurance policy to cover the risks with the asbestos decontamination work, for a minimum cover of $10,000,000. Any works involving the disturbance/removal of “ACM” shall be in compliance with; EPA, Legislation, Asbestos Management Plan and Safe Work Method Statement.

9. TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

9.1. The Subcontractor / Hansen Yuncken is responsible for all traffic management associated with the Subcontract Works.

(a) Where the Subcontractor is responsible for traffic management, they shall prepare and submit the required Traffic Management Plans, complete necessary liaison with authorities and pay all costs associated with the traffic management.

9.2. The Subcontractor is required to review and make appropriate allowance for compliance with Hansen Yuncken’s Traffic Management Plan.

10. MOVEMENT OF SUBCONTRACTOR’S MATERIALS, PLANT & EQUIPMENT

10.1. The Subcontractor is responsible for all vertical and horizontal movements of its materials, plant and equipment. Multiple movements may be required subject to Hansen Yuncken’s construction management. The Subcontractor is responsible to relocate its materials, plant and equipment if they are obstructing others’ works.

10.2. Hansen Yuncken may, at its discretion, by written notice to the Subcontractor direct the Subcontractor not to remove from Site its materials (including temporary works), plant or equipment. Thereafter, the Subcontractor shall not remove the materials (including temporary works), plant or equipment without the prior written approval of Hansen Yuncken, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.

10.3. The Subcontractor is responsible to conduct all WHS Regulations and statutory required Plant and Equipment maintenance and inspection. Records must be submitted to Hansen Yuncken on a monthly basis or as directed.

10.4. The Subcontractor is responsible for its own and hired plant and equipment. Hansen Yuncken will not be liable for any loss or damages to these plant and equipment irrespective of the cause of the event. The Subcontractor shall maintain an insurance policy to cover its plant and equipment should it consider necessary.

10.5. It is the Subcontractor’s responsibility to ensure that the Works and other trade’s works are not to be damaged by its plant and equipment. The Subcontractor will be liable for all costs associated with any necessary rectification work and making good to the quality standard as required under the Head Contract.

11. PLANT & EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED BY HANSEN YUNCKEN

11.1. Hansen Yuncken will provide a tower crane/s to the Site. [please delete if not applicable]

(a) Where a tower crane/s is being provided:

i. it will be a ___ type / ___ tonne capacity. (delete if unknown)

vii. it is the responsibility of the Subcontractor to advise Hansen Yuncken of any rigging layouts or special lift requirements well prior to the date of lifting.

11.2. Hansen Yuncken will provide mobile crane(s) to the Site as required.

(a) When a mobile crane is being provided:

i. the size, the days of operation and its use by subcontractors will be coordinated by Hansen Yuncken’s Site Management who will operate a scheduling system.

ii. it is the responsibility of the Subcontractor to ensure any item being lifted is suitably packed and secured for lifting.

iii. it is the responsibility of the Subcontractor to advise Hansen Yuncken of any rigging layouts or special lift requirements well prior to the date of lifting.

(b) Where the Subcontractor provides a mobile crane to the Site:

i. they are responsible for all costs and aspects in relation to the mobile crane.

ii. the timing and set-up location must be agreed with Hansen Yuncken’s Site Manager.

11.3. Hansen Yuncken will provide landing platform(s) to the Site. [please delete if not applicable]

(a) Where landing platform(s) are being provided:

12. TEMPORARY / EXISTING SERVICES

12.1. Temporary Electrical

(a) Where no temporary board’s are provided, the Subcontractor is required to provide generators for the provision of power for their Subcontract Works.

(b) The Subcontractor is responsible for the reticulation of power from the temporary boards provided by Hansen Yuncken to their workspace. The Subcontractor is required to provide it’s own task lighting.

(c) If the Subcontractor’s plant or equipment is discovered untagged or unserviceable, or the Subcontractor fails to produce testing & maintenance records, the Subcontractor must immediately remove it from the workplace and rectify the fault before resuming work.

12.2. Temporary Water

(a) The Subcontractor shall reticulate temporary water services from Hansen Yuncken’s water supply located at _____.

12.3. The Subcontractor is responsible to remove the temporary services reticulations at completion of the work when appropriate.

12.4. Existing Services

(a) The Subcontractor must not proceed with the isolation or termination of any existing services without the prior approval in writing by Hansen Yuncken.

13. STORAGE

13.1. Hansen Yuncken will not provide an on-site storage area. The area will not be protected from the weather.

(a) Where an area is provided the Subcontractor is responsible for the safety and security of all items being stored.

13.2. The Subcontractor will be responsible for any damage to property or the environment caused by unsecured items.

13.3. Hansen Yuncken is not responsible for the care of the Subcontractor’s materials, plant or equipment stored on Site.

14. QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) REQUIREMENT

14.1. The Subcontractor is to allow for all works required to comply with the Quality Assurance /

Control requirement in the Specifications, the Project’s QA requirement, Builder’s Quality Management Plan and procedures. The Subcontractor acknowledges that the completion of QA documents submission is a condition precedent to Practical Completion.

14.2. The Subcontractor shall give a least 24 hours notice for inspection prior to reaching a Hold or Witness point. Endorsement by Hansen Yuncken at the Hold or Witness point does not reduce the Subcontractor’s responsibility to achieve the specified requirement under the Subcontract.

15. PROGRAM & CO-ORDINATION

15.1. The Subcontractor must develop the Subcontractor’s Program in accordance with the latest Builder’s Construction Program.

15.2. Two weekly programs shall be provided by Hansen Yuncken to facilitate coordination of the subcontractors on Site on a day to day and work to work basis.

15.3. The Subcontractor must coordinate and proceed with the works diligently and expeditiously in order that it achieves the start and finish dates for the activities on the latest Builder’s Construction Program. The Subcontractor shall provide sufficient labour resources to meet the program. If the Subcontractor fails to meet the program and overtime is required which results in Hansen Yuncken having to extend the Project Hours, the cost associated with the overtime will be recovered from the Subcontractor.

15.4. The Subcontractor is to maintain a full-time accredited supervisor throughout the life of the Project. It will be the Supervisor’s responsibility to maintain communication and co-ordination with Hansen Yuncken and other project members e.g. other subcontractors, suppliers and consultants, on behalf of the Subcontractor.

15.5. It is the Subcontractor’s responsibility to ensure that all persons employed in connection with the execution of the Subcontract Works are working off the most current drawings and documents. Hansen Yuncken will maintain a document register on Site.

15.6. Prior to commencing work, the Subcontractor shall review the drawings and documents of other disciplines in connection with the Subcontract Works to ensure buildability and consistency so as to avoid unnecessary clashes with other trades’ works.

15.7. The Subcontractor shall allow to execute the Subcontract Works in the sequence as set out in Hansen Yuncken’s Construction Program and allow for multiple visits and breaks in continuity of work and out of sequence works. The Subcontractor will not be entitled to additional costs in relation to out of sequence works. The Subcontractor shall return to Site in speedy manner to complete any incomplete and/or outstanding works.

15.8. The Subcontractor must comply with all instructions issued by Hansen Yuncken. In the event that an instruction cannot be complied, the Subcontractor must inform Hansen Yuncken in writing within 2 business days from the date the instruction is issued, provide with reasons and proposed alternative if applicable.

16. CHRISTMAS SHUTDOWN

16.1. The Subcontractor acknowledges that the Site is shut for approximately 2 weeks during the Christmas and New Year period. Unless approval has been given by Hansen Yuncken, no works shall be carried out on Site during Hansen Yuncken’s annual Christmas and New Year Shutdown Period. The Subcontractor will not be entitled to any extra costs or Extension of Time for any delay resulted therefrom.

16.2. In addition to the above, Hansen Yuncken will not be responsible for any delay caused by the Subcontractor due to business shutdown of it’s agents, contractors, hirers, suppliers, manufacturers or any other person in connection with the Subcontract Works.

17. ATTENDANCE AT MEETINGS

17.1. When requested by Hansen Yuncken, the Subcontractor must attend the regular and specific project meetings, such as Safety Meetings, co-ordination meetings of any aspect and subcontractors meetings. These may include meetings with the Proprietor / Principal and Principal’s consultants. The nature of these meetings is to coordinate the off-site and no-site production. Matters of detail are resolved outside the meeting through the “Request for Information” (RFI) correspondence or similar.

17.2. The Subcontractor must comply with the directions given by Hansen Yuncken in the meetings within the required time.

18. TEMPORARY ACCESS TO WORKSPACES

18.1. The Subcontractor is responsible for the provision of all safe temporary access to workspaces as necessary to undertake the Subcontract Works.

(a) When the Subcontractor is not responsible for all safe temporary access Hansen Yuncken will supply the following only:

i. scaffolding to lift shaft / scaffold to central stairs / atrium / other; and (list in detail including erection and dismantle period, be cognisant of what can and cannot be reached)

ii. full perimeter / between grid / define height / under eaves / to lift overruns / under walkways / overhangs. (details including erection and dismantle program)

18.2. Where access equipment is provided by the Subcontractor e.g. scaffolding, working platform and the like, the Subcontractor will be responsible to carry out safety inspections to ensure compliance with the legislation and codes of practice prior to its use. An inspection/assessment report is to be submitted Hansen Yuncken’s Site Management upon request.

19. SETTING OUT & SURVEY

19.1. Hansen Yuncken will provide one longitudinally and two laterally central grid line with one datum level per level in each building. The Subcontractor is responsible for all other setting

out as required to complete the Subcontract Works.

19.2. The Subcontractor shall re-check the setout or survey after completion of the work, to ensure that the work has been finished to the required position or level.

19.3. The Subcontractor shall allow for all setting out and survey if required to achieve the requirement of the Handover Documents, including but not limited to as-built drawings and easement plans.

20. PROTECTION OF WORKS & SURROUNDING AREAS

20.1. The Subcontractor is responsible to:

(a) examine the workspace, supply and install protection in an adequate method and with appropriate materials;

(b) protect the Subcontract Works, other’s works, and the surrounding areas where a risk of damage potentially exists while the Subcontractor undertaking their works. This includes but not limited to roads, footpaths, landscaping, lanes hoardings, FF&E, finishes, etc.

(c) replacing the Subcontractor’s protection if missing,

(d) agreeing the timing for removal of protection with Hansen Yuncken,

(e) removal of the Subcontractor’s protection.

20.2. If any damages incurred due to the Subcontractor’s failure to protect the works, the Subcontractor will be responsible for the cost associated with the rectification.

21. ACCEPTANCE OF WORKSPACES & SUBSTRATE

21.1. The Subcontractor is responsible for:

(a) examining workspaces and substrates well in advance of starting work, and

(b) reporting to Hansen Yuncken any workspaces and / or substrates that are unsuitable for the commencement of the Subcontract Works.

21.2. The subcontractor is responsible for ensuring the work environment and work substrate is free from defects and suitable for the continuance of works. The subcontractor is responsible for remedy of resultant defects from failure to address item 22.1(b).

22. BLOCK OUTS, OPENINGS & CAULKING

22.1. The Subcontractor is to allow for all cutting, drilling, coring, for penetrations, openings and the like necessary to complete the Subcontract Works and further allow for making good edges, junctions, and caulking gaps with specified and/or approved fire rated and acoustic graded

materials such as sealants, fillers, grout etc.

22.2. The Subcontractor is responsible for the installation of blockouts and/or sleeves.

(a) When a Subcontractor is not responsible for the installation of blockouts and/or sleeves they must:

i. provide sufficient information to Hansen Yuncken in relation to their location, size and shape. The information is to be provided not less than 7 days prior to the required date for their installation.

ii. inspect and confirm the accuracy of their location, size and shape and immediately notify Hansen Yuncken of any error. The inspection must take place prior to the commencement of any trade works that would prevent the correction of the error without demolition or coring.

(b) The Subcontractor is responsible to ensure that all openings and/or cuttings they make are correct in size and location. Any over-cutting or in-correct cutting will be deemed a Defect.

(c) The Subcontractor shall not commence any coring works without obtaining the written approval of Hansen Yuncken.

23. CLEAN UP & WASTE DISPOSAL

23.1. The subcontractor is responsible for minimising waste and packaging material. Any waste generated from overordering or rework will be disposed of at the subcontractor’s cost.

23.2. The Subcontractor is responsible for the removal of waste material from their workspace on a daily basis. This includes the provision of labour, material handling equipment, wheeled bins or the like to move the waste.

23.3. The Subcontractor’s waste shall be placed into the bins provided by Hansen Yuncken. Where required, waste is to be separated and placed in nominated bins as instructed by Hansen Yuncken Site Management.

23.4. The Subcontractor shall not use permanent or project sanitary fixtures and fittings to wash tools or equipment. Hansen Yuncken will provide wash points for use by all subcontractors. It is the subcontractor’s responsibility to ensure wash points are left tidy and free of waste material after use.

23.5. The Subcontractor must not place any contaminated or toxic waste into Hansen Yuncken’s bin/s. Removal of contaminated or toxic waste placed into any Hansen Yuncken bins, by the subcontractor will be at the subcontractor’s cost.

23.6. . Disposal of any material, tools/equipment left by the subcontractor on site will be removed at the subcontractor’s risk and expense.

Schedule of Rates:

The following hourly rates shall apply for variations to be carried out on daywork basis:

Manager & Project Manager on a daily basis. Failure to obtain this

signature will result in the claim may being rejected.

Tenderers shall insert day labour rates for anticipated trades & shall also

state plant rates for anticipated equipment they will have onsite.
