a. Usingone18"x4"piece,foldinhalflengthwisewithwrongsidestogether;press.

b. Openwaistband.Foldeachlongedge1/2"towardcenterwithwrongsidestogether;pressedgesbutdonotremovecreasefromthecenter.

c. Foldwaistbandinhalfalongcentercrease,withwrongsidestogetherandfoldededgestuckedinside.Placewaistbandoveraprontop,leavinga1/2"overhangononesideanda2-1/2"overhangontheother.(Thisapronisdesignedtotieontheside,sooneofthetieswillbelongerthantheother.)Topstitchinplace(Fig.5).

d. Sewtheothertwo18"x4"BajaBreezepiecesrightsidestogetherlengthwise(Fig.6);turnfabric.

c. Foldwaistbandinhalfalongcentercrease,withwrongsidestogetherandfoldededgestuckedinside.Placewaistbandoveraprontop,leavinga1/2"overhangononesideanda10"overhangontheother.(Thisapronisdesignedtotieontheside,sooneofthetieswillbelongerthantheother.)Topstitchinplace(Fig.8).

e. Inserteachtieinendofwaistband(Fig.10)andtopstitchalongbottomofwaistbandandties.

4. Sewthepocketstothecoverlining,withthestripedpocketontherightandthebuttonpocketsontheleft.

5. Sewtherightedgeofthesmallpockettothelargepocket,stitchingallthewaytothetoptocreateapencilpocket(Fig.6).

6. Withrightsidestogether,sewthecoverfronttothecoverliningonthreesides,usinga1/4"seam(Fig.7).Turnrightsideout.

7. Inserttheheavy-dutystabilizerbetweenthelayers.Foldintheopenedgeandtopstitchtheoutsideedgeofthecover(Fig.8).

8. Attachthebuttontothecoverfront.
