Two principles included in QA are: "Fit for purpose", the product should be suitable for the intended purpose;
and "Right first time", mistakes should be eliminated. QA includes management of the quality of raw
materials, assemblies, products and components, services related to production, and management,
production and inspection processes.
The focus of research of department encompasses traditional research and novel recent Risk analysis and
quality by design based research covering following areas:

of animals can be used to see the effects of drug molecules.
Animal House facility
The institute is well equipped with full-fledged, dedicated CPCSEA approved animal house facility in the
premises. Different animals like rats, guinea pigs and mice are housed in a controlled temperature
environment. Institutional Ethics Animal Committee has been established and is active to observe and suggest
any modification in the practices adopted at the animal house in accordance with guidelines.
The focus of research of the department is:
To Screen the pharmacological activities of pure drugs, herbal extracts and formulations in area like cardio
vascular pharmacology, immunopharmacology, inflammatory disorders, cataracts, nephrolethiasis, metabolic
disorders, hepatotoxicity, nephrotoxicities etc.

The institute believes in continuous evaluation of every student, as a measure of performance, assessment of
knowledge percolation and also a means for motivation. Evaluation is done through mid-semester exams at GTU
level, viva voce sessions, quizzes, projects, minor research projects and practical exams held throughout the
academic calendar.
For evaluation of students studying in GTU, evaluation is done by conducting a mid-semester exam and practical
exam for all the students. Students with non-satisfactory performances (scoring less than 40% marks in mid
semester exams) are subjected to appear for remedial exams prior to appearing for external semester exams
conducted by GTU. For M. Pharm. students, more emphasis is given to groom their practical, presentation skills to
augment theoretical and practical clarity and also the fundamentals of conducting quality research are being taught.
APC believes in developing an individual with strong fundamental and conceptual skills and capability, combined
with a deep sense of responsibility towards other stakeholders and the society and commitment to the growth for
all individuals. APC emphasize that individuals should experience the simulated environment of the corporate world
of technical expertise and decision-making. Accordingly, the learning process involves extensive classroom
sessions, presentation, seminars and individual projects. The class room interaction is the primary vehicle of
learning. It gives strong theoretical and conceptual inputs. The curriculum and the depth of coverage are similar to
that of the best of pharmacy schools. Active interaction and participation of students is encouraged. The current
developments in each of these specific areas are discussed, using articles from reputed national and international
journals. At APC, we strongly emphasize seminar, paper presentations and abstract preparation for graduation
students and project work for PG students, which involves extensive and in depth study of a specific topic involving
research or field work. Periodic presentations also help in enhancing communication skills. Continuous evaluation
through assignments and quizzes help fine tune the concepts already learnt. Thorough understanding of the students
on the practical sessions in the laboratories is ensured and regularly being crosschecked through viva sessions with
the teacher.
