INTRODUCTION

On February 5, 2020, a Scenarios/Options questionnaire along with a presentation and supporting data was released to the Hilliard Public. This questionnaire was designed to gauge the preferences, tolerance, and thoughts of Hilliard’s community in regard to specific facility actions and grade configurations.

The questionnaire was available to complete for 1 week ending February 12, 2020. Eight hundred and fifty-two (852) responses were collected encompassing feedback with affi liations at every school in the District.

Cooperative Strategies would like to thank the student s, staff, Board of Education, and the community of the Hilliard City Schools for their commitment and dedication to the planning process.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Out of the 852 responses, below are the most prevalent comments/concerns:

• Logistics • Desire to understand effects through a pilot study • Additional building transitions • Cost implications • Equity among different grade configurations • Relationship building • Support for doing what is needed

There was more support for adding to/updating existing facil ities as opposed to building new facilities. Overall support for a new 6 t h grade facility was high . Having experiential learnings spaces with in every school also garnered much support.
