Maroon Bells Snowmass Wilderness special regulations - Forest Order
Relocate approximately 32 miles of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail off of Forest Service roads. Proposed trail location is at or near the actual divide. Up to 3 trail heads will be constructed along the new section of trail.
Two changes are proposed to the MBSW special regulations. Overnight visitors will be required to store all food, garbage and other attractants in bear resistant containers & changing the campfire prohibition to everywhere above 10,800 ft.
Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. is proposing to rebuild the existing Montrose-Nucla-Cahone 115-kV transmission line to operate at 230-kV. The BLM is the lead agency and the Forest Service is a cooperating agency.

5.25 miles of fence will be constructed in 3 different locations on the Uncompahgre and Grand Mesa to improve grazing management and /or reduce recreational conflicts. Cattle guards will be installed at fence crossings on ATV trails and roads.
Trail construction & repair. Due to high water existing trail has become difficult to negotiate; ATV users have become stuck and have attempted to find a different route. Vegetated areas have suffered damage and denuded areas have caused water issues

The proposed action entails constructing 0.85 miles of fence within the North Butte Allotment, tentatively during thesummer of 2016. The fence will be a laydown structure in conjunction with following wildlife friendly specifications.
The addition of a 31 acre unit to a previous Ohio City - Pitkin Fuels Reduction analysis--creating a fuel break. Treatment of the unit will include: thin ladder fuels below 6 ft., remove trees under 8 in. in diameter, and pile/burn all cut material.
New construction of 6,655 Ln. Ft. of underground electric distribution cable within existing flow lanes of NFSR 888. Cable area will be 10 Ft. in width, buried to a depth of 24-36 inches. Cable will be open trenched and/or plowed into place.

Transfer a private road easement to Rockbiter Corp and amend the easement for a change in bridge alignment over Canyon Creek. Beginning a possible Small Tracts Act exchange on land the road is located.
Rockbiter Corporation has made an application to exchange lands with the United States Forest Service under the authority of the Small Tracts Act. The exchange contains approximately 25 acres of National Forest for 125 acres of private lands.

The Forest Service is considering consenting to BLM modifying ArkLand¿s existing federal coal leases COC-1362and COC-67232 by adding 1,722 cumulative acres to them.
