Our pressure gauge repair service repairs allmakes with qualified specialists andaccording to ISO 9001:2015 specifications.All repaired devices are returned to youtechnically and optically perfect.
Diaphragm seals / separation diaphragmsand pressure transmitters of all makes andmaterials can be tested and repaired byus.
Defective pressure gauges
Defective devices will be checked, wewill prepare a free quotation for you.
Repairs which do not exceed 50% of the newprice justify the repair.
As the customer, you decide whether torepair or replace the device. If the repairis not possible, we offer new devices asan alternative.
We also specialize in repairing third-partyproducts and our team will do everything inits power to repair the equipment and deliverit to you in a technically flawless condition.

1960 - Takeover of Walter Schmierer
1932 - The founding year
In 1932 the company Schmierer was foundedby Anna and Eugen Schmierer in Frankfurtam Main as a repair shop for pressuregauges.Two employees worked until thedestruction of the work shop in the SecondWorld War.
From 1946 the reconstruction of theIndustriehof in Frankfurt began. With 4 employees, including Walter Schmierer, wholater became head of the company, newequipment was increasingly manufactured.
1965 - More space and moreproduction capacity
1984 - The company is now calledSchmierer GmbH
The location Groß Gerau proved to be asthe right decision. Many large companies inFrankfurt, Darmstadt, Mainz, Wiesbaden and surrounding cities, as well as industrial parkswith many companies needed theequipment of the company Schmierer.
The demand for pressure gauges andthermometers from the company’s ownproduction grew and the space requirementin Groß-Gerau increased as a result.
High-quality pressure and temperaturemeasuring instruments as well as accessoriesare produced with state-of-the -artproduction and testing equipment.
During this time, 20 employees work forSchmierer GmbH.
Walter Schmierer takes care of the customersin the Rhein Main area and provides personaland individual support.
The repair service is further expanded.
After the death of company founder EugenSchmierer in 1960, Walter Schmierer waspromoted as managing director.
The company was renamed Schmierer KG.The constantly growing business and thesmall premises made it necessary to make anew start. In 1964, a new beginning wasinitiated with the purchase of a large plot ofland in Groß Gerau.
The move took place in January 1965.
1985 - The company grows
A generous extension of the production and amodern office building have been completedand are being used.
1993 - The 3rd generation takesthe lead
With the entry of Ralf Schmierer in 1993, thesales division, which was limited toGermany and Western Europe, was stronglyexpanded in the English-speaking world.
In Asia and the Middle East in particular, thearea of influence grew.
1996 - DIN ISO 9001 certificationand worldwide sales agencies
The ISO 9001 standard defines the requirements to be fulfilled within the framework of the implementation of a company’s generally recognized quality management system.
This certificate is a further step towardssuccessful further expansion.
A network of sales representatives ensures thefurther expansion of the company ‘s presencein various regions of the world.
2002 - Ralf Schmiererbecomes Managing Director
The demand for pressure gauges for thechemical, petrochemical and pharmaceuticalindustries remains high.
Framework agreements are concluded withlarge, globally active industrial companies.Food groups, breweries, paper mills,mechanical engineering, plant constructors,municipal plants are added as furthercustomers.
Schmierer now supplies all branches ofindustry worldwide.
Trade fair stands of the company Schmiereras a manufacturer can now be found at manyspecialist exhibitions.
2013 - The 4th generation isready to take over
Julian Schmierer begins his training as aprecision engineering technician andsuccessfully completes it in summer 2015.
At the same time he supports the salesdepartment with profound developmentsregarding the necessary communicationand computer skills.
Since 2018 Julian Schmierer has beenresponsible for the entire purchasing processand large parts of the quotation preparation.

2015 - Foundation of SchmiererSEA (South East Asia)
Years of successful cooperation with thetrading partner in Malaysia have led to ajoint venture being built where customersreceive local support.
Our joint venture Schmierer SEA, located near Kuala Lumpur, is responsible for theentire Pacific region.
2017- Customer service / sales/ distribution
Karina Wagner-Schmierer joins the companyas the last family member.

The first pressure gauge movements withbuilt-in axle damping were installed in 1974,which resulted in today’s version with doubleaxle damping.
This is manufactured by Schmierer in largequantities, also known under the Schmiererbrand name MANODAMP®.
Damping torque offers you the followingadvantages over the undamped pressure gauge:

Bourdon-tube gauges are made of brass or stainless steel;housings from 40 mm to 250 mm are available instainless steel. Higher pressures or other connectionthreads on request.

DIAPHRAGM PRESSURE GAUGE
Diaphragm pressure gauges are made entirely of stainlesssteel. Diaphragm springs and connections can be protectedagainst the measuring medium with special materialsor coatings/cover. Our instruments are also availableas absolute pressure gauges completely made of stainlesssteel.

CONTACT DEVICESAND TRANSDUCERS
Contact devices are suitable for installation in pressuregauges and thermometers from housing size 63 mm Ø.Contacts can be installed in pressure gauges andthermometers as slow action, magnetic snap-action,inductive and electronic contacts. Transmitters areavailable as flush-mounted and surface-mountedversions.
DIAPHRAGM SEALS
Diaphragm seals can be fitted to pressure gauges,pressure switches and all types of electrical andpneumatic transmitters.
Diaphragm seals are made of stainless steel asstandard. On request, all parts can be made of specialmaterials such as tantalum, titanium, Hastelloy C ,duplex stainless steel, nickel, monel, silver, gold or withcoating/covers made of PT F E, PP or PV DF .
Diaphragm seals of various types/standards andconnection types can be attached to the measuringinstrument with or without capillary line. Various fillingfluids are available.
ACCESSORIES
Accessories for pressure and temperature measuringinstruments are part of our extensive program . Siphons, shut-off valves and valves, thermometer protection tubes and flanges of all standards can be produced and supplied from a wide variety of materials.
