At Schneid we work with a holistic view of sustainability. Our entire process
of creation is soaked with the fundamental concept of creating fascinating
objects with ethical value. For us, working sustainably also entails sharing the
vision and enhancing sensitivity in order to elevate the consumer’s perception
of craftsmanship and artisanship.

delivery routes short and work together with people who are
practicing their jobs with passion — just as we do. “
Inspired by heritage techniques and the masterly skills of trained professionals,
we maintain strong, long-term relationships with small local businesses
where manual skills have traditional value. The independent and self-directed
production of our designs ensures authentic and high quality products and
enables us to support these workshops, aiming to create new markets for age-
old art forms.
We believe designing entails responsibility. The thoughtfully considered
choice of materials for an object is one of the most essential tasks in the
process of designing. The use of ecological resources is just as important to us
as striving to further ethical aesthetics. We believe that the close correlation
of the two constitutes a crucial base for extraordinary and timeless design.

Figura - A melodious name that refers to the special shape
of the lighting. Designed with a view to consistency, Figura
conveys a sense of harmony and simple, timeless elegance.
The three shades, inspired by the authentic aesthetics of
classic industrial lights, have a minimalist, graphic
expression and bring classical forms to new life.

The geometric shapes and intense color palette of the Junit lighting draws
inspiration from the Bauhaus movement. By a playful use, the eight
different elements of the versatile lamp can be freely combined and
spark creativity. Either with a self-composed version or an exclusive
compilation of the designer, the lighting brings personality into
any home.

the SERIES A LIGHTING
Pirum, Secundum and Volum: Three lamps that stand for naturally warm
light. All three lights are constructed by the same principles and yet every
lamp stands out with its own special shape and character. The intricate
structure of the lamp allows the light to subtly shine through the
thin wooden slats and cast a glare-free light which creates a
natural ambience.

Zappy stands out with its soft and inviting glow. The carefully
handmade lamp of ash or oak veneer illuminates any indoor
space with sublime light quality. With its delicate wooden
panels and the detailed natural design, it impresses as a beautiful
lighting object and will be a focal point in any room.

Bold rounded shapes and vivid waves are referencing to the flowing water of
a cascade and define the cast of the Kaskad lighting. Made of ceramic in light
tones, the lamp is hand manufactured in a traditional workshop in Germany.
The dynamic between the unexpected material and superb workmanship,
with its clear and linear expression, gives this interpretation of an archetypal
suspension lamp its unique character.

the UNISON TABLEWARE
The Unison set is a
carefully handcrafted ceramic tableware
collection that puts your favourite food in a perfect
limelight. The collection consists of seven different
pieces, each of which is dyed with pigments of refined
subdued tones. By leaving the outer surface untreated and raw,
the pieces get a soft tactile feel while the inside is glazed and
shiny, enhancing a visual contrast of the tableware. Through
a clear and graphical language, the parts can be stacked
into each other to form a sculptural object,

the TIDE BLANKET
The Tide blanket is characterized by gentle and smooth transitions of dark
and light color tones. Inspired by the rise and fall of the sea levels caused
by the moon and the sun the blanket reflects atmospheric nature in
cyclical structures. The rhythmical sections of the primary color
softened by broad stripes of subtle and deeper shades has a
soothing effect, making us cast off the haste and find
calm and balance.
