HUNTING AREA:

The hunting area of Schönfeld Hunting Safaris covers over 200,000 hectares of the best hunting territories of Namibia.Hunting is done in various parts of the country, depending on the trophy animals required by the clients. The area is covered partly by bushy savannah, camel thorn savannah, and partly by open fl at areas with lime pans. The Kalahari-area consists of red fl at sand dunes with wide open grass plains. During the rainy season from December till April it rains approx. 350 mm (14”) p.a. In the other months we normally have dry, sunny and cloudless weather. The most agreeable temperatures are from March till October. From May to August it may be quite chilly in the early morning, with temperatures below freezing point possible before sunrise or after sunset. The hunting season is closed during December and January.

ACCOMMODATION:

Schönfeld Hunting Safaris offers you high standard accommodation with 2 triple and 6 double rooms, including en suite shower/bath and WC, swimming pool, 220 V electricity, private bar, satellite TV etc. Your hosts, Hartwig and Elke von Seydlitz are 3rd generation Namibian citizens who will share their love, knowledge and experience of Namibia with you.

REQUIRED FOR HUNTING:

Check visa requirements for your country.Field grade shotgun, bow and / or rifl e. Cal. .375, .300, .30 06 with .270 as minimum, plus 60 rounds ammunition. Each client has to declare his hunting weapons/ammunition at the airport where he will obtain, without diffi culty, a temporary rifl e import permit valid for the duration of his safari. No handguns allowed in Namibia.Binoculars, camera, fi lm, rifl e ownership permit of your country. Light hunting clothes (green or khaki) not too much, as laundry is done daily. Warm windbreaker (parka and sweater), light hunting boots, broad brimmed hat, sunglasses, suntan and lip protection.Malaria + Hepatitis: check with your doctor.

PAYMENT:

We are not able to accept payments by cheque or travellers cheque. Only cash, direct deposits or Master & Visa Credit Cards.Full payment required from each client at the end of the safari, before departure. It is the client’s responsibility to arrange credit limit with his bank for card payments. Prices are subject to change with prior notice.

LIABILITY:

Any safari is potentially hazardous and it is essential that lawful directions and advice of the safari operator be followed.We request our clients to arrange for their own insurance as we do not accept responsibility for loss, illness, accidents or delays, nor any expenses arising thereof. We undertake to exercise the utmost care and precaution to ensure our client’s safety.

CANCELLATION:

Deposit will be refunded only if client cancels the safari within 30 (thirty) days after date of confi rmation of booking, subject to a 15 % administration fee and provided cancellation is done at least 90 (ninety) days prior to the date of commencement of safari.
