Introduction
At the Presentation Night of the Silver Jubilee Year (1990), it was announced that a Scholarship in the name of Fr Peter O’Reilly, O. Praem, would be offered to a Year 10 St Norbert College student who wished to proceed to Years 11 and 12. This Scholarship would be offered annually and would cover tuition fees for the two years of study in Senior School. The current value of the Scholarship is approximately $9,000.
The Scholarship is a needs-based assistance scheme to help a student who might not otherwise be able to continue his/her studies in Years 11 and 12.
Application Procedure
Parents are invited to apply on behalf of their daughter/son by completing the application form and attaching to it:
i) a letter from parents clearly outlining their reasons for applying.
ii) a reference from their Parish Priest outlining parish participation by the family and the student.
iii) a brief statement from the student outlining reasons for wanting to continue at St Norbert College.
iv) a copy of the Year 10 Semester 1 student report.
The above documentation is to be forwarded to the Principal and clearly marked ‘Fr Peter O’Reilly Scholarship, Confidential’. A suitable panel will be convened to determine the successful applicant.
The closing date is Friday, 16 October 2020.

I further agree to abide by the decision of the selection panel and the conditions under which the Scholarship is offered as listed below.
Selection Criteria The selection panel will include the following criteria in its selection discussion:
• Likely academic success in Senior School.
• Financial circumstances of the family.
• Student’s behaviour record.
Renewal Criteria • Satisfactory academic performance in Year 11 and successful completion of the Year 11 Religious
Education program are essential for the Scholarship to extend to Year 12.
