Before you startBefore you start checking the scholarships, it is necessary that you consider the following general recommendations:

The calls for scholarships will request you always have the minimum level of English required to access the program of interest, unless clearly specified otherwise (as in the case of scholarships including leveling weeks before starting language studies). The requested level of English by colleges is usually an IELTS of 6.5, but some study fields such as Law, may require up to 7.5.

Although not explicitly mentioned, Australian universities generally don’t award scholarships to students who have already attained a high academic degree or the equivalent to the degree they will aspire to obtain in Australia. e.g., someone who has a master degree in its country, would not be able to compete for a master scholarship in Australia.

Melbourne Research Scholarship

Full scholarships / Tuition FeesOver 300 scholarships available each year.

Study Level: Higher Degree by Research

Elegibility and conditions:• The student must have completed tertiary studies that are at least equivalent to a 4-year honours degree at an Australian university with a minimum result of first class honours.• The student must have applied for admission to undertake a master or doctorate by research degree, or be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne

Closing dates: 31 October (Round 1) or 31 May (Round 2). However, the following faculties have more than two rounds:

International Postgraduate Research Scholarship

Full cost of tuition

Study Level: Postgraduate

Study Areas: Arts, Biomedicine, Comerce, Environment, Music and Science.

Elegibility and conditions:• Have completed tertiary studies that are at least equivalent

to a 4-year honours degree at an Australian university with a minimum result of first class honours

• Have applied for admission to undertake masters by research or doctorate by research degree at the University

• Not be enrolled in the course for which the student is seeking scholarship

• have not already completed a research qualification at the same or higher level as the course for which a scholarship is sought.


International Postgraduate Coursework Award

Fee remissions of between 25% and 100% of tuition fees for the duration of the course.


Study Areas: All.

Elegibility and conditions:• Have applied for an eligible graduate coursework degree.• Be commencing study at the University of Melbourne for the

first time.• Not be in receipt of any other tuition fee remission scholarship

or sponsorship which, in combination with the IPCA, exceeds 100% of tuition fees

• Not have received any other scholarship provided by the Australian Government in the last 2 years.

Closing dates: 28 February 2016.

International Undergraduate Scholarship

at an Australian RMIT campus commencing in 2016.• Have been offered a place that is not conditional on meeting

PhD Scholarships in Computer Science and IT

AUD$25000 per annum for three years

Study Level: PhD

Study Areas: Computer Science and IT.

Elegibility and conditions:• Have an undergraduate or a masters degree in the area of

Computer Science or related discipline, with outstanding grades.

• Meet RMIT’s PhD entry requirements.• Show evidence of research ability — e.g. an honours degree,

a minor thesis, some publication, or a well-developed preliminary research proposal, developed under the guidance of the supervisor.

• Have an interest in cross-disciplinary research and ability to work in a team.

Closing dates: applications will close when a candidate is selected.

School of Civil, Environmental and Chemical Engineering Academic Merit

AUD$5000 for one year.


Study Areas: civil, environmental or chemical programs.

Elegibility and conditions:• Have achieved excellent year 12 results with an Australian

Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) (or equivalent) of 90 or greater in 2014 or 2015.

• Demonstrate aspirations and aptitude to study in the relevant field.

• Be commencing full-time study in one of the civil, environmental or chemical programs in semester 1 2016.

International Research Candidate Scholarship

AGSM Global Reach Scholarship

Entry requirements: • The equivalent of a four-year Australian Bachelor of Engineering in the relevant discipline with a minimum 70% average (Australian equivalent)• Or the equivalent of a four-year Australian Bachelor of Engineering in the relevant discipline with a minimum 65% average and at least five years’ relevant engineering work experience. Elegibility and conditions: • Applicants should hold at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honours degree (this is a four year degree with a major research project in the final year). All qualifying programs of study must be successfully completed. • Candidates are required to enrol in the University of Adelaide as ‘international students’ and must maintain ‘international student’ status for the duration of their enrolment in the University.

Adelaide International Undegraduate Scholarships

Elegibility and conditions: • The selection process for the Adelaide International Undergradua-te Scholarships is competitive, with academic achievement forming the main basis for scholarship selection. • As a general guide, the University of Adelaide will consider applicants who have achieved an academic level which is the equiva-lent of a GPA of 6/7 (85%) for a scholarship.• As the aim of the scholarship program is to attract excellent applicants from a wide range of countries, factors such as country of citizenship and program of study may also be taken into considera-tion in some cases in the scholarship selection process.

Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships

MGSM International Scholarships

Partial scholarship 25% of tuition fees

Triple Crown Scholarship


Study level: Undergraduate & posgraduate coursework

Study Areas: Business

Elegibility and conditions: • Have completed a qualifying course from any country outside Australia.• Meet minimum English language entry requirements of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent for direct admission to the degree program. • Start your coursework degree program no later than Semester 2, 2015 (July 2015).• In order to maintain the scholarship after the first year, the student must have a Grade Point Average of 5.5 out of 7.

No separate application for the Scholarship is necessary. If you are accepted into one of the eligible courses, and meet the criteria, you will receive the scholarship as well as a place in the course.


University of Sydney International Scholarships

2016 Sydney Achievers Inter-national Scholarships

Partial scholarship AUD$10,000 each per annum

Elegibility and conditions: • Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualifi-

cation or an international senior secondary qualification accep-ted by the University with outstanding results, as deemed by the University of Sydney.

• Students who have already commenced/completed tertiary studies, or students transferring with credit exemptions and/or advanced standing, are not eligible.

• Applicants must have completed the equivalent of an Aus-tralian Bachelor degree qualification with outstanding results based on the Australian grading system, as deemed by the University of Sydney.

Academic Excellence Scholarships

Partial Scholarship Between AUD$10 000 and AUD$20.000

Study Level: All undergraduate and master programs offered by the University.

Elegibility and conditions: You must also have scored 85% or equivalent in your previous degree/award, and meet La Trobe’s English language and academic entry requirements.

You are not eligible if you are starting a Higher Degree by Research, exchange program, Study Abroad program, ELICOS and Foundation Studies program, or Diploma course.

Postgraduate Excellence Scholarships

Partial Scholarship 20% reduction on fees for the entire degree

Elegibility and conditions: • Be applying to study a postgraduate course at any La Trobe campus.• Meet course prerequisites and have a weighted average mark (WAM) of 70 per cent or equivalent work experience.

Undergraduate Civil Engineering Scholarship

Partial Scholarship Between AUD$20000 and AUD$50000* *Subject to satisfactory progress


Study areas: Bachelor of Civil Engineering.

Elegibility and conditions: You must be an outstanding international high school graduate (sco-ring 70% or above in Year 12 or equivalent). You must also meet our English language and academic requirements for the Bachelor of Ci-vil Engineering course.

Undergraduate and postgraduate regional campus scholarships

Partial Scholarship Up to AUD$5000 *Subject to satisfactory progress

Study areas: Bachelor of Civil Engineering.

Swinburne 2 year Master’s Scholarship

Study Level: masters

Study areas: Eligible Masters by coursework programs with at least 92 weeks in duration

Elegibility and conditions: • Students must be eligible for an offer for one of the selected 2-year master by coursework programs.• Students must commence their eligible master program in 2015 or 2016• These scholarships are awarded on academic merit and work ex-perience. Only students with the strongest academic and professio-nal backgrounds will be chosen.



Study level: undergraduate

Study areas: Any bachelor program.Although no scholarship is offered on English language program (ELICOS) fees, students who commence ELICOS in any intake with a pacakged offer to commence a bachelor program in 2015 will also be eligible for this scholarship.

Elegibility and conditions: • You must be eligible for a bachelor program.• You must commence your bachelor program in February or August 2015• These scholarships are awarded on academic merit.


International Professional Master Scholarship


Study level: postgraduate

Courses elegible: Master of Business Management, Master of Commerce (Human Resource Management), Master of Commerce (International Business), Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Master of Marketing, Master of Professional Engineering, Master of Social Investment and Philanthropy, Master of Finance and Banking.

Elegibility and conditions: • Students must be eligible for an offer for one of the selected pro-fessional master programs.• Students must commence their eligible master program in 2016.• Students must accept the scholarship offer within 2 weeks of offer date, if the offer is unconditional.• Students who hold a conditional offer must accept their offer im-mediately after meeting their condition.• Standard course progression rules apply. Scholarships will cease for students who fail a unit of study.

Academic Excellence Awards

International Scholars Program

Study Areas: Any first application for Undergraduate or Postgra-duate studies.

Elegibility and conditions: • Applications will only be accepted from international students who are eligible to study in Australia with a student visa and are making an application to study at Deakin University for the first time.• Scholarship applicants will need to provide evidence of high achie-vement in their previous studies.


Deakin International Scholarship

Elegibility and conditions: • Not have accepted any other Deakin scholarship or bursary.• have achieved a 65% average (or equivalent) in previous studies.

Unsuccessful applicants of the Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s Interna-tional Scholarship will automatically be considered for the Deakin International Scholarship.

Closing dates: The scholarship will be available for students commencing studies in 2016 onwards.

Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship

Elegibility and conditions: • Outstanding academic merit of at least an average result of 80% in prior studies• Applicants must have gained and formally accepted a place in an undergraduate or postgraduate program at ACU.• Applicants must not be receiving any other major scholarship or award.• Recipients will be selected by a Selection Committee, which may give consideration to the diversity of the source countries of applicants and the courses in which they are enrolled. In the case of applicants undertaking research degrees, the alignment of the applicant’s intended research with the research strengths of the University. will be considered.• Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress for the duration of their course in order to keep the scholaship.


Law and Business Faculty Scholarships

Partial ScholarshipsUp to AUD$4.000. AUD$500 towards the cost of the tuition fees every semester

Study level: undergraduate and postgraduate

Study areas: all undergraduate programs, masters, graduate certificate and graduate diploma, existing at the Faculty of Law and Business at ACU.

Elegibility and conditions: • Be an international student• Be enrolled full-time in an ACU bachelor degree or postgraduate coursework program offered by the School of Business commencing in 2016.• Not be receiving any other form of financial assistance from ACU or the Australian Government.


Tasmanian International Scholarships

Centennial Business Bursaries

Partial ScholarshipUp to 25% of the tuition fee

Study Level: undergraduate and postgraduate.

Study areas: Almost all undergraduate and postgraduate pro-grams offered by the university. Exceptions will be notified on the list of courses for international students. This grant does not apply to Masters by Research and Ph.D.

Elegibility and conditions: • Have the requirements for admission to the program of interest, including language requirements.• Have a higher average ratings to B to be eligible for this scholar-ship.• All applications for admission to college programs are considered for the scholarship.

Note: This scholarship can be combined with the Tasmanian School of Business & Economics ( Centennial Business Bursaries ) if your program is in the interest eligible for the scholarship .


Partial ScholarshipTo commemorate the 125th anniversary of the University of Tasmania and 100 years of Economics Teaching, the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics is offering 100 Centennial Business Bursaries, up to $10,000 each.

Study level: Undergraduate and postgraduate.

Study areas: • MBA • Master of FInance• Bachelor of Economics• Bachelor of Business

Elegibility and conditions: • The Centennial Business Bursaries are for new international applicants who meet general entry requirements.• The Bursaries are available for the first year of study only and do not apply for English language support, tuition or other pathway courses.


Undergraduate Excellence Scholarships (UES)

Faculty Merit Scholarships (FMS) Sydney Business School Partial Scholarship

for International StudentsPartial Scholarship 25% reduction of the international tuition fee for the duration of the course. Up to a maximum of 4 years.There is no limit to the number of UES available.


Study areas: Medicine & Surgery; Nursing; Science (Nutrition or Exercise Science); Nutrition & Dietetics; Exercise Science & Rehabilitation; Social Work; and Psychology (all degrees).

Elegibility and conditions: • Have Year 12 Australian secondary or a secondary international certification.• Have the requirements for admission to the program of interest, including language requirements.• All applications for admission to college programs are considered simultaneously apply for the scholarship.

Closing dates: Available every year.

Partial Scholarship25% reduction of the international tuition fees brin-ging the total scholarship value to 50% off the tuition fee when offered in combination with the UES.

Sydney Campus International Student Bursaries

Sydney Business School Partial

Partial ScholarshipsThe bursary is awarded in the form of a full tui-tion fee waiver of the final 2 subjects in the 12-subject Master degree, or the final 3 subjects in the 16-subject Master degree. This is equivalent to a 16–18% reduction of the tuition fee on the full duration of the course.

Study level: Master by coursework.

Study areas: Master of Business (single major), Master of Busi-ness (double major), Master of Applied finance, MBA, MBA Advanced and the Master of Science (Logistics, Logistics and Project Manage-ment, Project Management).

Elegibility and conditions: • Have the requirements for admission to the program of interest, including language proficiency and work experience.• The bursary is available to any international student commencing for the first time at UOW in 2015, in one of the above courses at the Sydney Business School Sydney campus.

Elegibility and conditions: • An unconditional offer to study a Masters program with Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong.• Commencing studies in the trimester of which they are applying for the scholarship. • A Bachelor degree with an Australian equivalent average of at least 70%• Address the following three (3) selection criteria in 500 words or less:-Motivation for studying your selected program at Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong-Outline how you believe this degree will help you achieve your ca-reer goals and personal aspirations-Describe the value you believe you will bring to your fellow students

Closing dates: it is recommended to apply 3 months before the start of the undergraduate program.
