About Our School
BULLYING, HARASSMENT, AND SAFETY POLICIESIn addition to teaching bully prevention strategies to all students, our campus supervision staff is highly trained in Active Supervision to ensure we are keeping an eye on all students. Students who are identified as being involved in bullying are eligible for services through an onsite therapist, or our Student Support Specialist. We offer Kennedy Boot Camp for students who persistently treat others with disrespect.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIESWe are excited to partner with Kids Unlimited as our after school café provider. In addition to homework help and recreational activities, they offer tutoring and extend student learning through the use of our computer lab.
PARENT ENGAGEMENTIn addition to sharing our Parent Compact, we led the first ever Kennedy Stakeholders event last February. We served 50 community partners and parents, and received their input on our school improvement plan. Many excellent ideas came out of these sessions. We will offer two Stakeholder sessions this school year. We will offer our usual events: "BINGO for Books", Family Math Night, and a parent resource fair before our Kennedy's Got Talent event. We are expanding to at least three additional events this year.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Our church partner, Living Hope Church, hosted our first ever Stakeholder event last February. The event included staff members, parents, our church partner, the YMCA, OSU Extension Service, our PTO, Head Start, and Sodexho (school nutrition services). We gathered lots of good information, particularly from parents. We will host two more sessions this school year. We want to expand to SMART, ACCESS, the Maslow Project, and Hedrick Site Council members.

Nuestros límites para un comportamiento aceptable son claros y se hacen cumplir. Enseñamos un programa de prevención de intimidación a los estudiantes, enseñándoles a los niños que no hay lugar para acoso en Kennedy. Acerca de Nuestra Escuela
POLÍTICAS DE INTIMIDACIÓN, ACOSÓ Y SEGURIDAD
Además de enseñar estrategias de prevención de acoso a todos los estudiantes, nuestro personal de supervisión del campus está altamente capacitado en Supervisión Activa para garantizar que estamos vigilando a todos los estudiantes.Los estudiantes identificados como involucrados en el acoso escolar son elegibles para recibir servicios a través de un terapeuta en el sitio o nuestro Especialista en Apoyo Estudiantil. Ofrecemos “Kennedy Boot Camp” para estudiantes que persistentemente tratan a los demás con falta de respeto.
ACTIVIDADES EXTRACURRICULARESEstamos emocionados por asociarnos con Kids Unlimited como nuestro proveedor de café después de la escuela. Adicionalmente a la ayuda con tarea y actividades recreacionales, ellos ofrecen tutela y extienden el aprendizaje del estudiante a través del uso de laboratorios de computadora.
PARTICIPACIÓN DE LOS PADRES
Adicionalmente de compartir nuestro Compacto de Padres, dirigimos nuestro primer evento de Partes Interesadas Kennedy el febrero pasado. Servimos a 50 miembros de la comunidad y padres, y recibimos sus aportaciones sobre nuestro plan de mejoramiento escolar. Muchas ideas excelentes salieron de estas sesiones. Ofreceremos dos sesiones de partes interesada de Kennedy este año escolar. Ofreceremos nuestros eventos usuales; "Bingo por Libros”, “Noche de Matemáticas Familiar, y una feria de recursos para padres antes de nuestro evento de Kennedy Tiene Talento. Nos estaremos expandiendo a por lo menos tres eventos adicionales este año.
