• The qualification for 13 years of schooling. All students aim to achieve their QCE by the end of year 12.
Australian Tertiary Admission RankATAR• Students wishing to progress to tertiary study will need to work towards an ATAR.
Not every students needs an ATAR.
School Based Apprenticeship or TraineeshipSATs• Students may combine vocational education and training (VET) study with part time
work. SATs contribute towards a students QCE.

External Assessment will take place in Term 4 of year 12 over a 3 to 4 week block at the same time for all
students in the state.
No classes will run during this time.
All Internal Assessment will be completed by the end of term 3.

Pre-requisites and Recommended Year 10 Results
Pre-requisites are given to ensure greatest chance of
success in year 11 subjects.
Year 11 is not the time to take a chance on subjects you do not enjoy or have not done well in previously.
Your year 10 results may impact upon the subject you can study in year 11.
Subject Changes
Only Minimal Subject Changes will occur
throughout year 11.
Students will not be permitted to change subjects in Year 12 due to
results in Units 3 and 4 being paired.
