School Improvement Plan 2017-2018 Beginning of Year Report Due: September 9, 2017. School SMART Goal: Impact: By June 2018, we will increase the number of students who are proficient in reading from 70.3% to 80%, as measured by the reading EOG for 3 rd -5 th grade. Fidelity: We will increase the number of students who move from level 2 to the level 3 reading proficiency range, whereby decreasing level 2 proficiency range from 16.6% to 10%. Completion: Admin will complete weekly walk through visits to capture that core instructional strategies are being implemented and anecdotal notes are consistently taken by the teacher to inform instruction. Fidelity: This will be accomplished by full implementation of PBIS in Tier I (core values, universals and expectations being taught, modeled and practiced; administration of signatures and rewards) and Tier II (check in/check out, small groups based on B.U.S. data). Completion: Student level up cards and quarterly celebrations.

Aligned District Goal: Place an “X” next to the aligned district goal.

Goal 1: Every student in the Cabarrus County School system will graduate from high school prepared for work, further education, and citizenship.
