Executive SummaryNorth Hollywood High School

Neighborhood

North Hollywood High School is located in the San Fernando Valley region of the City of Los Angeles on a 25.1-acre site bounded by Chandler Boulevard (north), Colfax Avenue (east), and Magnolia Boulevard (south). Single-family and multi-family residential uses dominate the blocks surrounding the school.

Instruction

The school serves 9th through 12th grade. The campus is organized around multiple Small Learning Communities. In addition, the campus houses a Highly Gifted Magnet Center and the Biological Sciences Zoo Magnet. Amelia Earhart Continuation High School is located at the northeast corner of the campus.

Summary of Facilities

The main core buildings on the campus were built as early as 1927. A major expansion occurred in the mid-1950’s. In the late 1990’s, several modular buildings were installed to support an increase in the number of students due to the Northridge earthquake in 1994.
