Schoolnet: Assessment Creation, Administration and Reporting

Learning Goals
In this session you will learn how CTE teachers, school or district staff can use the Assessment Admin Module of the IIS
– Creating Assessments/Items– Administering Assessments

Roles Needed in Schoolnet
• Specific roles needed to create and assign assessments:
– Default Role = Staff
– Additional Roles:
1. Test Item Administrator
2. Access to Assessment Management
• Specific Role needed to create Custom Reports:
– Access to Report Manager
• Roles and Permissions for Schoolnet are assigned in PowerSchool by your District Data Manager/Administrator

Assessment Items
• There are over 80,000 assessment items* available to search and use within schoolnet– *The number of items you see depends on your level and role
Scheduling/Recommending Assessments
• From the district/school level you can schedule/assign assessments to students (by section) or recommend.
Administering Online Assessments
• Once the assessment is assigned to the courses, the teacher of the courses can access the online passcode.
Scan or Import Paper-Pencil Results
• Use ScanIt to scan results from paper-pencil assessments– Guide available at

• Import Assessment results via CSV import– Download template from within Schoolnet– Add students results– Import file
