Protein TestProcedure
1. Get a test tube.
2. Pour in low-fat milk until it reaches 1cm from the bottom of the test tube (make
sure you use a funnel).
3. Add in 10 drops of Biuret A to the 1cm of low-fat milk.
4. Add in another 10 drops of Biuret B to the 1cm of low-fat milk.
5. Mix the inside.
6. Write the Observation down.

Glucose TestProcedure
1. Get a test tube.
2. Pour in the low-fat milk until it is 1cm from the bottom of the test tube (make
sure you use a funnel).
3. Add in 10 drops of Benedict’s solution.
4. Heat it in a 70-90˚C hot water bath for 3-5 minutes.
5. Take it out and observe the color.

Starch TestProcedure
1. Get a spotting tile.
2. Put in only a little bit of low-fat milk into one of the holes in the spotting tile.
3. Add two drops of Iodine solution into the spotting hole where the low-fat milk
is in.
4. Observe.

Comments about the tests
In the Protein test, my prediction was correct & the result was a
positive result, since Low-fat Milk always have Protein in it. In the
Glucose test, my prediction was wrong & the result was not a
positive result. I think this would mean that Low-fat Milk doesn’t have
any Glucose in. My prediction was half correct in the Starch test, but
didn’t become as a positive result, since I think that Starch isn’t
inside the Low-fat Milk.
