WHAT IS BIODIVERSITY?Biodiversity, is the term used
to describe the variety of life found on Earth and all of the natural processes. This includes ecosystem, genetic and cultural diversity etc.
WHAT IS A NATURAL REGION?
Natural region is a basic geographic unit. Usually it is a region which is distinguished by its common natural features of geography, geology, and climate.
WHAT ARE THE ECUADOR’S NATURAL REGIONS?
IS IT THE ECUADOR’S BIODIVERSITY IMPORTANT IN THE WORLD? WHY?
Yes, because Ecuador it is a relatively small country but is blessed with one of the highest biological diversity (or biodiversity in short) in the world. The main reasons for that are its tropical location on the equator, the high Andes mountain range and two major ocean currents along its coast
