KDC 099X Cake Camp Fondant (Ages 9 and up)

Cost $50 Kids will learn basics of cake, fondant, and buttercream recipes. They will make and decorate their own cakes using fondant. KDC 099X Math Camp (Ages 8-13)

Cost: $40 Each day a specific math topic will be introduced, followed by games that use the skill, and ending with group competitions and projects to show mastery. KDC 099X Model Rocket Build and Blast Off (Ages 11-15)

Cost $40 This class consists of learning how rockets move and fly and how a rocket motor is used. Students will choose a model kit in class and build, glue, and paint it. KDC 099X Story Book Math Camp (Ages 6-8)

Cost: $40 Math in a Kid’s book?! You bet. Come listen to some great stories, act them out, and do the math involved. Cost: $25 Students will learn everything about Australia and its unique “x-ray” art. KDC 099X Color Wheel Goes Round-n-Round (Ages 7-10)

Cost: $25 The color wheel reveals color relationships to other colors and opens up possibilities for new colors. We’ll mix colors to make “cool” and “warm” colors; make our own color wheel and see how we can make favorite colors lighter or darker. KDC 099X Design and Construction of Model Rockets (Ages 8-14)

Cost: $70This class is for kids interested in the engineering and math used to build rockets. Students will use computers to design a flying rocket and check flight characteristics. After the computer model is deemed stable and capable of meeting launch and recovery standards, students will then build a model rocket that matches the computer model. KDC 099X Forensics (Ages 8-11)

Cost: $25Who snatched Magic, the award-winning pooch, from his master’s home? A dognapping mystery is presented to the class, and student investigators are in charge of helping solve it. After learning terminology and facts about forensics, students will examine clues using various techniques such as: pH analysis, paper chromatography of ink samples, handwriting analysis, fingerprints and shoe impressions, tool marks, and hair sample comparisons. KDC 099X Fun with Duct Tape (Ages 8-14)

Cost: $25Students will be amazed as they create many cool yet useful objects such as wallets, dashing doggie clothes, and beyond. Learn how to make a cool duct tape purse or back pack, flip flops, magic wallet, change purses, key chains, and even outfits for Prom!-MTW-- 2:00–4:00p Dates: July 11–15Silver Creek CampusInstructor: Terraleen Prater-Perschka*Students need to bring 3 or more rolls of colored duct tape and scissors. A craft board is helpful, but not required.

KDC 099X Georgia O’Keefe Can Do (Ages 7-12)

Cost: $25 View the art of Georgia O’Keefe through pictures and slide presentation as we learn about the “off the page” style of O’Keefe’s flowers and simplistic landscapes. KDC 099X Introduction to Engineering (Ages 10-14)

Cost: $30This class will provide an opportunity for students to explore various fields of engineering, including aerospace, biomedical, chemical, civil, and mechanical. Students will be introduced to the Engineering Design Process and work in small groups to design, build, and test their ideas. Cost: $40Students work in counting, addition, subtraction, basic factions, shapes and patterns. Cost: $40Students will work with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, geometry, and basic algebra. The course will feature symbols that the students will draw and label on paper to form a book that will have a painted cover. Cost: $35 Become a master builder using KEVA planks! Students will build a variety of things such as a roller coaster using KEVA planks and will better understand what it is to be an architect. -TWRF-- 9:00a–11:00a Dates: July 5-8Silver Creek Campus Instructor: Clarissa Baldwin

KDC 099X Make Your Own Book (Ages 8-14)

KDC 099X Mona Lisa & Friends by Grid (Ages 10-15)

Cost: $25 Students will draw in paste using a grid, a rendering of the Mona Lisa and Friends by Leonardo da Vinci. They will first study the details of the famous pictures, then proceed to sketch the picture, using a grid, before coloring the rendering. Students will learn about grids and this famous painting to uncover details of form and balance. --TWRF- 9:00a–10:00a Dates: July 5-8 Silver Creek Campus Instructor: Loretta Bogdanowicz

KDC 099X Petroglyphs (Ages 8-14)

Cost $20Learn about past civilizations through the exploration of science in petroglyphs. Students will create their own petroglyph using scratch art paper. --T-R-- 9:00a–11:00a Dates: June 21-23 Silver Creek Campus Instructor: Clarissa Baldwin

KDC 099X Piñata Celebration (Ages 8-12)

Cost: $25 Students will have fun making a personal and group paper machè piñata to celebrate Kids College. KDC 099X Trash to Treasures (Ages 10-14)

Cost: $25 Paint, assemble, and decorate tin cans of various sizes to make a useable wind chime to hang and listen to. KDC 099X The Exquisite Head (Ages 9-12)

Cost: $25 Learn the composition of a head, focusing on the position and structure of eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. Draw and color the head in different poses. KDC 099X Rubber Band Cars (Ages 8-12)

KDC 099X Rookie Robotics (Ages 11-14)

Cost: $35This four-day camp will provide an opportunity for students to expand their creative interest in LEGO building while peaking their technological curiosity. Instructors will introduce the fundamentals of construction and programming, while also allowing for students to learn through experimentation. The students’ experience will culminate in a final challenge that integrates complex building skills and basic programming. Participants will be using an iconic programming language.
