Centrals Earthmoving has been awarded the contract to deliver upgrades at Walebing and Wubin as part of the Great Northern Highway upgrades between Muchea and Wubin. Construction works have commenced to upgrade the Great Northern Highway intersection in Wubin. The upgrade will allow future access for 53.5 m road trains to local facilities and the Road Train Assembly Area. Works in Walebing are well underway and works at both locations are expected to be complete by mid-2020. Scope of works The works at Wubin include: Upgrade to the Great Northern Highway intersection Minor upgrades to Woodhouse Street, Mullewa-Wubin Road and Gunyidi-Wubin Road Service relocations Drainage, electrical and landscaping works Road user safety During delivery of the project, gravel sidetracks will be used to assist traffic flows through the intersection however some minor delays may be experienced at times. Please take extra care when travelling through the project site and follow all traffic management in place.
