Art
This week’s ELEMENT of ART is TEXTURE
Texture is found everywhere!
It is “how something feels”.
Examples of texture can be
smooth or rough.
Look around your house or
outside (with parent
permission) and find some
textures.
TEXTURE RUBBING ACTIVITY:
Place a piece of paper on TOP of
your texture and rub a crayon or
soft pencil (marker does not work
for this rubbing) on top. Your
texture will transfer to the paper!!
OR
SCULPTURE PROJECT SCULPTURE is art that is 3-dimensional, which
means it is not flat. Sculpture can be as tall as a
building or as small as a paper clip!
Make a sculpture using cardboard tubes! You
can use paper towel tubes, toilet paper tubes,
even wrapping paper tubes. You can make a
sculpture which looks like something like a building, a person,
or an animal. You can also make a sculpture which doesn’t
look like anything you recognize. This type of sculpture is
called ABSTRACT. Here are some pictures for inspiration!

Guidance
This week our topic is anger and how to deal with it. Remember, everyone feels angry at times and that is a normal feeling. Learning positive ways to deal with anger is an important skill.
Watch along here as Howard B Wigglebottom teaches us about anger.
Anger is just one of many emotions. See if you can identify some emotions by watching this video. Click the video!
When you get angry, one way to calm down is to use a glitter bottle. Check out how to make a glitter bottle in the video below. Make sure you have adult permission and supervision.
If you would like to share a picture of your glitter bottle, you can use the e-mails below to share with your school counselor. Tusculum View= [email protected] EastView= [email protected] Hal Henard= [email protected] Highland= [email protected]
