Issue 4: RetrofiAng new concepts into exisCng college processes

goals and have helped me aTain them every step of the way. My career aspiraCons have fluctuated as I worked my way through my undergraduate degree. Now, on the eve of graduaCon, my plans are coming to fruiCon. Intend to improve my analyCcal skills while earning a valuable Master’s degree. It is my goal to become a Data ScienCst and work with big data. There is a growing need for professionals with strong analyCcal and quanCtaCve skills. I hope to be at the helm of this movement and establish myself as a leader in the industry. Taking CIS 1111 will allow me to enroll in this program and pursue these goals.
Issue 3: Disjointed Admissions and Advising
• Key partners with Enrollment Service
• Advising is done in house by our student mentors. PACE-‐IT plans
• Two admissions processes, handoff is o]en “clunky”
• Refining and improving processes
Issue 3: Disjointed Admissions and Advising
• Separate Admission and Enrollment
• Once students register for CBO courses, CBO Student Navigator helps students with CBO courses coaching (high touch feature)
• First Cme CBO students are required to take one-‐credit IntroducCon to CBE course (academic plan, vision statement, technology review) • Pilot phase (BTS faculty who was not a student navigator taught the class) • Current phase (BTS faculty who is also a CBO Student Navigator teaches that class)
Issue 4: RetrofiVng and IntegraWng
• Rolling Admissions • Non-‐standard terms • Grades and transcripts off the schedule
Issue 4: RetrofiVng and IntegraWng
• Central database necessary for prospecCve and current CBO students • IntegraCng enrollment
