Measurement made easy

1 Introduction

This publication details replacement of the battery (B12454) fitted to the baseboard of the RVG200 Paperless recorder. The procedure must be carried out by a trained technician.

2 Safety

3 Tools required

— Medium flat-bladed screwdriver

Important notedispose of the old components as detailed in the Operating instructions (OIRVG200-EN).

4 Replacing the battery

1. Isolate the recorder from the power supply.

Referring to Fig. 4.1: 2. Remove the tamper evident seal A if fitted.3. Using a medium flat-bladed screwdriver, unscrew jacking

screw B.4. Remove chassis C from case D.

Referring to Fig. 4.2: 5. Locate the mounted battery E on the underside of the

case.

Referring to Fig. 4.3: 6. Remove the battery from the battery-mount F and fit a

new battery.

Referring to Fig. 4.1: 7. Insert chassis C into case D.8. Using a medium flat-bladed screwdriver to secure jacking

screw B to case D.9. Fit new tamper evident seal A (if required).10. Restore power to the recorder and proceed to Section 5,

page 3.

CAUTION – Property damageThe recorder is vulnerable to electrostatic damage. Wear an anti-static strap or place the instrument on an anti-static workbench.

5 Setting the time and date

To access the Configuration menus:1. Touch on the first Operator menus page.2. Enter an operator password (if configured).3. Select the Edit Configuration mode by touching the

button.The System Configuration page is displayed:

4. Press Common. The Common Configuration menu is displayed:

5. Select Time and press (next to the Date and time box).A warning dialog is displayed:

6. Press . The Date and time menu is displayed:

7. Set the required time and date using the instrument touchscreen. Once finished, press and exit and save the configuration as normal.

Important noteOnce the battery has been removed, the battery failed icon is displayed on the front panel of the unit. To restore normal operation, the correct time and date must set.

Important noteChanging the time will potentially cause loss of data. Ensure that all data archiving is up to date before proceeding.
