The Amurrio Factory, covering an industrial area of 512,000 m2, integrates the 3 production plants:

• STEEL WORKS capacity: 500,000 t/y.• HOT ROLLING PLANT capacity: 300,000 t/y.• COLD DRAWN PLANT capacity: 30,000 t/y.

Seamless carbon and alloy steel tubes & pipes up to 13% Cr and 1.5% Mo. Vacuum degassed.

Process & line pipes, Pressure tubes, Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), Boiler & Heat Exchanger Tubes, Automotive, Construction and Mechanical tubes.

With an installed capacity of 500,000 t/y, the MELTING FURNACE, the REFINING INSTALLATION and the CONTINUOUS CASTING constitute all together a modern and high efficient production unit that ensures TUBOS REUNIDOS INDUSTRIAL the self supply of necessary high quality raw-material.

• MELTING ELECTRIC ARC FURNACE, with 120 MT capacity.

• LADLE FURNACE with the REFINING INSTALLATION and VACUUM DEGASSING.

• Four strands CONTINUOUS CASTING producing round formats of Ø 160, 200, 238 mm. and square ones of 140 and 180 mm.

TUBOS REUNIDOS INDUSTRIAL manufactures hot-finished seamless tubes in carbon and alloy Steel in diameters from 1.050” thru 7” (26.7 to 177.8 mm). Raw material is produced in our steel making facility, adjacent to the rolling mill.

Our production process is summarized as follows:

Torch/Saw cutting of billets. Rotary furnace (Capacity 90 t/hour). Rotary piercing and crimping press. Push bench. Reeling over

mandrel and mandrel extraction. Reheating furnace. Stretch reducer. Sizing mill. Finishing equipment (straightener, cutting, bevelling, facing, etc) Non-Destructive testing (Eddy Current, ultrasonic, flux leakage, magnetic particles, hydrotest). Threading, upsetting, heat treating, marking, antirust coating, bundling, packing. Well equipped laboratory to conduct all types of metallographic and physical testing to ensure compliance with applicable specifications.
