Strategic Goals G OAL C OMPLETED E XECUTION & B ENEFITS FOR M EMBER F IRMS M EET THE ACEC PAC GOAL & THE S TATE PAC GOAL. Establish an ACEC/PA PAC Champion position (President-Elect in partnership with the GAC Chair). Post all contributions on the ACEC/PA website. Executive Committee and Board Members must have a personal and professional commitment to meeting ACEC and ACEC/PA PAC goals. Market the purpose and successes of PAC activities to the membership. Increase the participation of Corporate PAC contributions to ACEC and ACEC/PA. Increase the number of participants contributing to the PACs. Once a (bundled) PAC event is confirmed, issue a notice to ACEC/PA members so they understand why and where their money is being spent. Establish an annual State PAC goal in November for the following year. S TRONGLY ADVOCATE FOR INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT AT THE STATE AND NATIONAL LEVELS. Continue to work through the Keystone Transportation Funding Coalition. Work with ACEC at the National level to promote national infrastructure funding. Partner with other organizations when necessary to educate and promote infrastructure funding in the Commonwealth. Monitor/report relevant legislative matters to the Association. Establish a state Infrastructure Investment Champion(s). Strategic Goals G OAL C OMPLETED E XECUTION & B ENEFITS FOR M EMBER F IRMS S TRENGTHEN AND INCREASE MEMBERSHIP. Promote and establish an annual Membership Drive. Establish targets to increase the number of ACEC/PA members and/or index numbers. Restrict certain ACEC/PA events to members only. Expand the make-up of the Membership Committee to include the three At-Large Directors during their second year of service. Evaluate membership gains/losses annually and set goals for incoming Vice President to manage at the Annual Meeting. E NHANCE ACEC/PA S BRAND, EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS AND PROMOTIONS. Monitor/report relevant matters to the Association. Market the purpose and function of ACEC/PA within the Association and to our clients. Expand the make-up of the PR Committee to include the Chair, ACEC/PA Marketing Director and the three At-Large Directors in their first year of service to work collaboratively and develop the ACEC/PA brand. Develop champions to speak for ACEC/PA throughout the state. Develop a public relations plan for increasing ACEC/PA external exposure. Establish and update a media contact list for relationship building. Institute regular media events to develop relationships with the press. Invite a media presenter once per year at each Chapter. Strategic Goals G OAL C OMPLETED E XECUTION & B ENEFITS FOR M EMBER F IRMS I NSTITUTE LONG - TERM ASSOCIATE GOVERNANCE STRATEGIES TO BOLSTER ACEC/PA. Conduct an annual one-day orientation for new Board Members and Committee Chairs. (Immediate Past President to conduct the orientation) Enact and follow the guidelines within the ACEC/PA Bylaws regarding terms of service. (Board members stipulated in Bylaws. GAC Chair 3-year term. Other Committee Chairs 2-year terms.) Develop succession planning strategies for Executive Committee, Board and Committee Chairs. Develop Board Governance Manual and post on the ACEC/PA website. Develop Association organization chart and post on the ACEC/PA website. Develop a Code of Conduct for all Board Members/Committee Chairs. Conduct an annual evaluation of governance documents and Board self-evaluation at Annual Meeting. (Bylaws, Governance Manual) 100% of the Executive Committee to attend the ACEC National orientation. Ethical Standards As an ACEC/PA member, we commit to: First, hold paramount the health and welfare of the public in the performance of our professional duties. Second, require honesty, impartiality, and fairness on behalf of the public, clients, employees, firms and the profession that we represent. Third, act in professional matters for each client as faithful agents. Fourth, enhance excellence in the business and human resource management of our firms by working to improve our individual and collective performance. Fifth, communicate openly and timely seeking a comprehensive understanding of the issues involving professional work and services. Sixth, provide quality services and develop projects that result in value for our clients, satisfaction for team members, and respect and distinction for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania and the consulting engineering profession. Seventh, encourage excellence by striving to create and deliver superior service. Eighth, allocate the time and resources to support and promote the goals and actions of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania. Questions?
