SHOW INFORMATION• The show site will be available to exhibitors 3PM to 10PM Friday, March 9, 2012. Doors are locked at

10PM. Dogs must be removed from the show site immediately following Best in Show judging Sunday, March 11, 2012.

• Each exhibitor will receive an acknowledgement of entry with a perforated attachment. This MUST be presented at the door for admittance and receipt of two (2) Identification/Admission Wristbands per dog entered. Wristbands are good for each day that dog is entered. To gain admittance for each day into the show building, each person MUST wear their ID or pay admission. Absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS.

• No exercise pens will be permitted after 8AM each day except in reserved grooming area.• All dogs shall be kept on leash except when in the obedience or agility ring.• There shall be no drilling nor intensive or corrective training of dogs on the grounds or premises.• STOOP TO SCOOP. Remember the Seattle City "Poop Scoop" Law – $500 FINE for anyone seen leaving

their dog's excrement on city property. Designated exercise areas will be clearly marked.• No baby or wheeled child carriers allowed in the building. Dog strollers may be used ONLY in groom-

ing area and to and from rings during exhibition. Dog strollers are NOT PERMITTED in any other areas.

SECURITY NOTICE TO ALL EXHIBITORSAllow PLENTY OF TIME to get to your rings because of the ADDITIONAL SECURITY required by the

Exhibition Center. Judges will not wait for you to get to the ring.NO TAPE WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE FLOORS EXCEPT AS PROVIDED BY S.K.C.

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION – EACH DAYNOVICE CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the

show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.

OPEN CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who have won three first place awards in a Novice Class in a licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice class. Juniors which according to their records have completed the requirements to compete in the Open class but whose status is unconfirmed by the American Kennel Club are limited to competing in the Open Class for a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the Junior completed the requirements according to their records.

MASTER CLASS: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be November 1 - October 31 of the following year. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year.

NOVICE AND OPEN CLASS DIVIDED: Junior-9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show; Intermediate-12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show; Senior-15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show.

NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Department, (919) 233-9767. BE SURE ALL INFORMATION for Junior Showmanship Classes is entered on front and back of entry form.NOTE: SUBSTITUTION OF DOG IN JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP AT THE SHOW(S): There will be an Ad-ministration Fee of $5.00 charged for any substitution of dog in Junior Showmanship at each show. In addition, if the dog originally entered in Jr. Showmanship was an additional entry, and the dog being substituted is not otherwise entered in the show, the Junior Showmanship Only fee applies.

A Class for Dogs and a Class for Bitches 7 Years of Age and OlderNOTE: Dogs/Bitches entered in Veterans Class must be intact. Spayed and Neutered animals are not eligible. All Dogs/Bitches who win Best of Breed/Variety from the Veterans Class are eligible to compete in their respective Group. VETERAN CLASSES FOR BULLMASTIFFS ONLY WILL BE DIVIDED BY SEX AS FOLLOWS: Veterans 6 years and under 8 Years • Veterans 8 Years and Under 9 Years • Veterans 9 Years and Older. Spayed and Neutered animals are not eligible.BEST OF BREED (VARIETY) COMPETITION – The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed (Variety) Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record. Dogs which according to their owners’ records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed. The entry and showing of dogs whose championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a championship according to the owners’ records. If at the end of the 90 day period the championship of a dog has not been confirmed by the American Kennel Club, no further entries of the dog for Best of Breed competition are to be made until its championship has been confirmed by AKC.” Selects, if applicable, will be chosen following Best of Breed.

Non-Regular Classes (involving Multiple Dog Entries)BRACE CLASS – OFFERED FOR BULLMASTIFFS ONLY: Fee $22.00 for the Unit in addition to any regular entry fee. • All grooming spaces (both reserved and unreserved) will be designated. No roping off or saving of grooming areas. Crates must be stacked. Grooming rules will be posted and strictly enforced.

• Electrical outlets and exercise pens will be allowed in Reserved grooming spaces ONLY.• Crates and Dogs allowed in Holding Areas immediately prior to their scheduled breed judging, and must

be removed immediately following.• Grooming and crating area aisles must remain open at all times and control of these areas will be

the responsibility of the Seattle Kennel Club, Inc. The Club reserves the right to rearrange set-ups to maximize available space.

• Show building will be available for set-up of grooming equipment from 3PM until 10PM on Friday. Doors will be locked at 10PM Friday and 11PM Saturday.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS – ALL EVENTSThe American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List.

• The American Kennel Club will collect: a $3.00 Event Service Fee and $.50 Recording Fee where applicable for the first entry of a dog, plus a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single-entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club events. At every licensed or member club rally trial, a recording fee of $3.50 is required for the first entry of each dog and a recording fee of $3.00 is required for each additional entry of the same dog. The event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Event Service Fees for The American Kennel Club. These event service and recording fees shall be forwarded to The American Kennel Club along with all other required event results within seven (7) days of the close of the event.

• No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or Baray Events assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner’s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH ENTRANT.

• RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. BaRay Events will add a $25.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. We will not re-process checks. The exhibitor will be contacted & required to send a money order for the original amount PLUS the $25.00 NSF fee. Subsequent returned checks from same person may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS.

• REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed by the Club to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. There is no refund for bitches in season in Obedience.

• FAX ENTRIES – Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. FAX NUMBER: (360) 683-6654. This is for Fax Machine ONLY. Incomplete or illegible Fax entries are not acceptable as a valid entry in a show. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). • Entries will be acknowledged after entries close with entry acknowledgment and judging program to address on entry. Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify BaRay Events at (360) 683-1507 or email [email protected].

• Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. BaRay Events will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. • Please note: Any hotel or motel listed in the premium list is subject to Event Committee Rules. We expect our exhibitors to be responsible guests. A report that an exhibitor at this show has abused hotel or motel property during this weekend may result in disciplinary action. Clubs reserve the right to decline future entries from the offending party in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 11, Section 15 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows.

• Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.

• Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs.• LOSS OR DAMAGE – The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors,

but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children.

• Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.

• ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The Club is not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at this show.

USE OF RAMPSAt the sole discretion of the judge, approved breeds may be examined on the ground or on a ramp: *Boykin Spaniels, Clumber Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, **Basset Hounds, *Whippets, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, **Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei, Chow Chows, Keeshonden, and Polish Lowland Sheepdogs. *Boykin Spaniels and Whippets may be examined on the ground, on a table or on a ramp. **Basset Hounds and Bulldogs are expected to be judged on the ramp during breed judging. For the judging of Juniors, the ramp may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp breeds. This list may be revised from time to time, and the current list can be found on the AKC website in Judging Operations. A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give reasonable notice to the Show Superintendent/Show Secretary prior to the day of the show. AKC approval is not required. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In all but emergency situations, the exhibitor has no recourse. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund.)
