psalm 98(8am service)Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvellous things. His own right hand and his holy arm have won for him the victory. The Lord has made known his salvation; his deliverance has he openly shown in the sight of the nations. He has remembered his mercy and faithfulnesstowards the house of Israel, and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Sound praises to the Lord, all the earth; break into singing and make music.Make music to the Lord with the lyre, with the lyre and the voice of melody. With trumpets and the sound of the horn sound praises before the Lord, the King. Let the sea thunder and all that fills it, the world and all that dwell upon it.Let the rivers clap their hands and let the hills ring out together before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. In righteousness shall he judge the world and the peoples with equity.

Junior Church Christmas initiative 2019 IMPORTANT UPDATE

Thank you for the many donations of items and money for both of our initiatives to date. Keep on collecting and donating Our first charity is Bromley Homeless Shelter. It is open for Christmas and throughout the winter months. Our plan is to collect and wrap 12 shoe boxes and fill them with toiletries, underwear, socks, nibbles, scarves, gloves and hats to give to those who are in the shelter over Christmas. We will continue this initiative until the shelter closes.

Secondly we will collect and wrap 10 to 12 shoe boxes and fill them with toys, books, stationery, chocolate and sweets for Bromley Children Project which helps disadvantaged families with advice and support including parenting courses.

Our third charity is Bromley Brighter Beginnings. which provides essential items to local families in financial hardship. At Christmas, the charity makes hampers for the Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid domestic violence refuges. Up to 6 shoeboxes will be going in the hampers. Because the hampers are being made up on Sat 23 Nov, we don’t have much time. If you can help put these together over the next few days, do speak to me after the service today or get in touch via 8663 6996.  Similarly, if you can help to wrap a few shoeboxes please take from our supply at back of the church and return asap. Many thanks. June Mackenzie

CTiB Carols at Christmas 7 Dec - the event will be at Waitrose Beckenham.
