FAITH FORMATION NEWS
December 12th: celebration of The Apparition of Our Lady of Guada-
lupe. The parish will have a Mass at 7 :00 p.m. Some of the faith For-
mation students will be participating in the dance of Los Matachines
and the Youth Group will be presenting the play of Our Lady. We in-
vite all parishioners to this celebration.
Quinceañeras: please meet with Miss Rodriguez before finalizing
your requirements at the main office.
Las Posadas: The Faith Formation students will be celebrating Las
Posadas on Tuesday, December 13th. This will count as a class day
for the students. The start time will be 6:30 p.m. and will last about an
hour. Due to limited space we will only be able to host the students for
this celebration.
The confirmation classes and youth group will be celebrating Las
Posadas on Wednesday, December 14 the start time will be 7 p.m.
This will last for about an hour.
Christmas Break: the Faith Formation classes follow the public
school calendar so we will be off from Monday December 19th
through January 2nd. Classes begin again on Tuesday , January 3,
2017.

NOTICIAS DE FORMACIÓN EN LA FÉ
12 de Diciembre: celebración de la aparición de Nuestra Señora de
Guadalupe. Tendremos una misa a las 7 p.m. con los niños partici-
pando en la danza de los matachines y los jóvenes del grupo juvenil
participando en el cuadro representativo de la aparición de la Virgen.
Están todos invitados.
Quinceañeras: se les pide a las quinceañeras que tengan una reu-
nión con la Srita. Rodriguez antes de finalizar sus requisitos en la
oficina principal.
Las Posadas: los alumnos de Formación en la Fe estarán celebran-
do las posadas el martes, 13 de diciembre esta actividad contara co-
mo una clase. Empieza a las 6:30 p.m. y dura una hora. Debido a
espacio limitado solo podemos tener a los alumnos ese día.
Las clases de confirmación y el grupo juvenil: La Posada de los
jóvenes que incluye los alumnos de confirmación y el grupo juvenil
será el miércoles, 14 de diciembre. Comienza a las 7 p.m. y dura una
hora.
Vacaciones de Navidad: Las clases de la Formación en la Fe siguen
el calendario de las escuelas publicas así que estaremos de vacacio-
nes del 19 de diciembre al 2 de enero. Las clases comienzan de nue-
vo el martes 3 de enero del 2017.

THE FOUR WEEKS OF ADVENT
During the first two weeks of Advent we light the first two purple candles. The Third Sunday of Advent is called Gaudete (Rejoice) Sunday. On this day we celebrate that our waiting for the birth of Jesus on Christmas day is almost over. Rose is a liturgical color that is used to signify joy, so we light the single pink candle on the third Sunday of Advent. Then on the fourth Sunday of Advent, the final purple candle is lit to mark the final week of prayer and penance as we wait expectantly for the soon-coming birth of the King of Kings.
