DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY 1:30 ROSARY, 2:00 SERVICE Members of the parish are encouraged to join together in prayer and adoration to seek God’s Mercy on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 8 at 2PM. The bilingual service (in English and Spanish) will include Solemn Blessing of Mercy Image, Exposition and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Homily, Recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Praises of Divine Mercy, and Divine Praises. The Rosary will be recited at 1:30 prior to the Main Service. Parishioners will also be able to Venerate the Image of Divine Mercy with its signature “Jesus, I Trust in You”.

Jesus said to St. Faustina: “I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession, and receive Holy Communion shall obtain forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet.” (Diary of St. Faustina, 699).

We start gathering for coffee, doughnuts & fruit at 6:15 AM but start the program at 6:30 AM. We then watch the DVD session and end with small group discussion. We finish by 8 am so that those with busy Saturday schedules can participate. Email Jeff Sandvig at [email protected] with any questions. All are welcome!

HOMEBOUND + SAINT ROSE = LOVE & CHARITY! Thank you to the Saint Rose Knights of Columbus and to the St. Rose school! Homebound parishioners enjoyed a delicious fresh fish dinner every Friday during Lent. The dinners were carefully delivered by Saint Rose Knights and their families. Each dinner included fresh fish with all the trimmings and a sweet dessert provided by the Awesome Bakers. This is the 2nd year the Knights have stepped up to include the homebound of Saint Rose in the Lenten celebration. Also, each homebound family received a special greeting card made by Saint Rose school students. From Christmas and Valentine’s Day to Lent and Easter, cards are now decorating walls from Assisted Living facilities to personal homes of Saint Rose homebound parishioners. Although the dinners were greatly appreciated, the talk of the ministry homebound has been the enjoyment of being visited by fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Family members and caretakers were relieved to be able to enjoy an evening of relaxation and reflection with their loved ones as they awaited delivery of their dinners. The visits and the cards are the only communication some of the parishioners receive for the year. Many of the cards stated, “we are praying for you” and “God Loves You”. Love and Prayer is an important message to send to those who can no longer be physically present at Mass. This demonstrates a remarkable act of charity, respect and integrity toward this ministry. The Saint Rose homebound Parishioners thank all of you and so does the Homebound Ministry. God Bless You. The Homebound Ministry at Saint Rose of Lima
