The Worthy Prez sez…. As I compose this the weather is looking a lot like winter. Things are slowing down at the club. Our snow birds have left for warmer places. Our week-enders are not coming north as often. I want to thank Larry and Tammy for chairing the MSU vs. Michigan Game a great time was had by those attending. The club is still having food specials during the week and on week-ends. Stop in for meal and drinks. We’re still having fish fry on 2nd and 4th Friday after December but because of the holiday the only fish fry will be December 14th. I am still looking for chairs for some activi-ties this winter. If you can give a little time I could use a little help. These activities help with the cost of operating the club. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Safe travels, Kerry Shaffer Worthy President 18-19
Aerie Chaplain Report On Thanksgiving Day, we recall the courageous and inspiring journey of the Pilgrims who, nearly four centuries ago, ventured across the vast ocean to flee religious persecution and establish a home in the New World. They faced illness, harsh con-ditions, and uncertainty, as they trusted in God for a bright future. The more than 100 Pilgrims who arrived at Plymouth, Massachusetts, on the May-flower, instilled in our Nation a strong faith in God that continues to be a beacon of hope to all Americans. We also recall some of those that are missing from our Eagles’ meetings and gathers: Eddie Bauer, Richard C. “Lucky” Luckritz, and Theodore Barre have passed over the Rainbow Bridge to be with the Creator. Richard Ronne’s mother also passed away and Manny Barajas and Bill Cameron have been in the hospital. Please keep these families and all members of the Eagles in your thoughts and prayers. Roger Bauer Aerie Chaplain
The Madam Prez sez… Happy Holidays sisters! Time to enjoy fam-ily and friends as Christmas and New Years approach. Special thanks goes out to Kathy Halloran and her fine crew of kitchen helpers who put on a wonderful pork and chicken dinner for our District 12 meeting. Also to Debbie McConnell for chairing the president’s char-ity meatloaf dinner. It was a huge success. And thank you to Kathie Hart and her great crew that put on the Harvest Dinner with turkey and all the trimmings and the Bake Sale. Our Kids Xmas party will be December 8th at 1 PM. Children 12 and under of any Ea-gle member or relative should sign-up, name and age so Santa knows what to bring, and won’t leave anyone out. It is a fun time for all. Remember our December meeting dates have changed to December 8th and the 15th at 11 AM due to the holidays. We always welcome new faces and new ideas to help keep our club going. Please join us and share any concerns or fundrais-ing ideas you may have. Judy Downie
