The Jurassic MagicianThe only of his kind, the first of all humans.Created by powerful beings in their image as a testto see what the wild entity would do if it were givenenough power to change the world around it as itpleased. Beginning as a young boy, he was bornwith the knowledge to defend himself from the hugeand terrible monsters that inhabit the humongous

jungle around him. Exploring his unearthly powersand talents as he grew into a man, his hunger forpower only expanded. Discovering he could bendthe will of the dinosaurs around him, shape the

ground beneath him, incinerate even the largestmonsters to mere ash, and as his power grew, sodid his madness. As the godlike beings watchedhim, they grew more and more concerned that hemight grow too powerful for even them. Actionwould have to be taken... Soon.

The Jurassic MagicianHidden away from the monsters of the outside, lieshis secret lair. Where the mad Jurassic magicianslumbers in peace, surrounded by all hisknowledge, on a bed formed by the jaw of aGiganotosaurus Rex that he had killed at the ageof only 12. His proudest accomplishment. Bonesand features from this Giganotosaurus alsodecorate the room as pillars and wall pieces. Alongwith other beast parts and meats that are litteredacross the large cave as either food or decoration.

He is a crazed man, driven by a desire to dominateand tormented by his loneliness. Seeking companyabove all else and the guidance that comes with it.Lost in his own purpose, seeking only to increasehis immense power in an attempt to keep himselfbusy.

The Jurassic MagicianTwisted by his experiences growing up, underconstant threat and never sleeping easy. Forexample when the first pack of Raptors sniffedhim out and attacked him at his lair, he was only

14 and they left many scratches on the walls andpillars as they wreathed in pain. Despite this, theMagician bares scars from the attack, becausehe was awoken by a raptor driving its claws intohis chest. But these are not just physical scars, they are also mental, as from that moment on, henever allows his scent to be smelt again andcovers his domain in dirt, mud and dung.

Spotting that he was doing so well in the earlystages (ages 6-14) and exceeding their

expectations, the godlike beings decided thattheyd give the Jurassic Magician a gift. But thiswas not meant as a congratulatory gift. It wasmeant as an insult to his very being, so that the

gods might laugh at his simplicity and lack ofunderstanding. The magician found this mask in hiscave the day after his raptor attack and saw it as areward for surviving an attack while he slept. themask itself is made out of muddy wood and rustymetal with a strap to keep it on.

Finding a particular affinity with this mask, themagician took it as his prize possession and wore itwhenever he could.

Visual ConceptMy visual concept for my Project, Secret lairs willbe largely influenced by jungle and caveenvironments, using wet textures on the walls, burntextures and scratch textures on the walls too. Ivisualise a dark cartoony look that showcases thedismal environment that this Jurassic magician lurksin. I plan on lighting the scene with magical flamingtorches on the walls. Id like the cave to feel livedin, with things cluttered around everywhere. Likeanimal meats, wooden sticks/logs, rocks, bonesand bits of bark with carvings in them. I believe thatthis should create a very atmospheric feel thatllhopefully showcase the magicians wild nature.

Visual ConceptThe hero prop for my Jurassic Magician is plannedon being a mask of some kind. Id like this mask tobe a muddy wood colour that looks like its beendug up from the ground. I hope to make this maskvery symbolist. With the eye holes being caged toshow that he is trapped on the earth unlike his

godlike creators. Decorative lines that all gotowards one point, to represent that the gods arewatching him. Finally the mask should also convey alevel of sadness to show how dismal and dark themagicians life is. Also, the fact that the mask is adirty wood colour is meant as an insult to themagicians lack of wealth.
