2015 Edition

• Added requirements for pressure testing of portions of the Reactor Vessel Head Flange Leak Detection piping within the Section XI boundaries – Incorporates Case N-805

• Provided an alternative to the extent of examination requirements for 10% of peripheral CRD housings, using 10% of the equivalent weld length – Incorporates Case N-825

• Added a new figure for Class 1 double-welded piping joints

• Added a prohibition on use of analytical evaluation to accept through-wall or through-weld leakage in Class 1 components

• Added requirements for visual examination of portions of Class 2 and 3 open-ended systems that are periodically pressurized for performance of functional testing. Previously, open-ended piping was exempted.

• Added Appendix VIII, Supplement 2 for UT of CASS – Incorporates Case N-824

• Increased conservatism in method for using RTT0 to index the KIa curve to add a separate equation (RTKIa) to index the KIa curve as a function of temperature – Incorporates Case N-851

• Revised pressure testing requirements (1) for statically-pressurized, passive safety injection systems, (2) to reflect vent, drain, and test piping pressure during the ten-year test, and (3) to address pressure in portions of the Class 1 boundary that are normally isolated and are tested with the attached Class 2 system (15-10)
