Security Integration

Security is an important aspect of every BI deployment. It

controls the authentication and authorization mechanisms

of the enterprise. To protect against unauthorized access,

the current release of OBIEE supports features such as

distributed security, single sign- on, resource access and

security, including access rights to granular objects. Often

OBIEE Authentication can be done against LDAP Servers,

External Database, or Database Tables. Authorization is

done inside OBIEE Applications such as Repository, BI

Presentation Service, and BI Publisher.
