Taboretstated that meet of the information in the article wax supplied by himto Pekelekvin 1951, although a email part of it /lathered by Fekelskyfrom sources of his own in Line and Vele, Land Upper Austria, Rod Vienna. In this arti&.. 7 11VICT is not mentioned by none but instead is identi-fied by the letter "C". Pekelsky had done this at Taborek's request.Taborek told Informant 6433 that he had done thit: because he did not withto cause A lot of trouble and also because he had been told by CIC in1950 not to to any work in intelligence. Taboret also stated, indirectly, that he did not. Want to serve the Americans by4iv1ng asset de:ails ofSCIDJICT or a report of SUBSZOT's work because he had been unjustly treatedby being falsely arrested by the Anericans. Taborek stated that thereesch for the article was to show that thb leaders of the "Council ofTree CO" in Washington. D.C. are in friendly contact with spiel, likeBohumil Caro,, and even support his activities. It was the purpose ofthe article to make propaganda for the "Csech Democratic Federalists' andto discredit WAO "Council of Free CU". The material for this articlefurnished by Nihon* was primarily from the material that SIT3.P4T hadtaken from Cerny's room and had given to Tab6rek in 1951. /.'l the excerptsfrom the letters written by the leaders of the !Council of Free CSK" toCerny 'hewn in the article were from Cerny's maQ ..riel given to Taboretby CVIIK. After this article was published, the German authorities attemptedto learn the identity of "C", but to the beet of Taboret's : knowledge, Pekel-sky has not revealed the identity or lc' to anyone.

v "- Taboret stated that be was told by Peke14Y4 that 'onetime thisyear he had out a Catch in Vienna, who had recently talked with SUBJWCTin Vienna. SUSJECT had first introduced himself as SVICINN.4BDT but &urinethe course of the conversation he said tiv-t his real name wasSUIJECT told this Czech that he had recently returned from Australia, and that he Is presently employed hiAZFA (United State; Porous in Austria)as a specialist for debriefing Czech refugees.
