Last month a group of Upper Intermediate students went on a walking tour of Dublin with a difference. They visited two cultural locations close to SEDA College: the Chocolate factory and the Dublin City Gallery.
The Chocolate factory is a building full of artists working together. It used to be a real chocolate factory producing Toblerones, Mint Crisps and other goodies. But now the building is entirely run by artists, with each artist
renting a space called a studio. The tour guide explained that it is a great place for artists to work because the windows are very big and everybody can share ideas together. It also has a new Café that’s opened recently.
After the Chocolate Factory the students walked to the City Gallery on Parnell Square. Here they enjoyed more classical pieces of Art. After the trip the students took a fun photo outside. Everybody had a great day!
