CONFERENCE INFORMATION GETTING HERE AND GETTING AROUND

GETTING TO GLASGOW – BY AIRGlasgow is served by 3 airports with direct flights from over 150 destinations

• Glasgow Airport – 15 minutes from city centre

• Glasgow Prestwick - 45 minute direct train link to city centre

• Edinburgh Airport – 55 minutes using the new direct bus link from Edinburgh Airport to Glasgow City Centre

• Well connected with most European cities

GETTING TO GLASGOW – BY TRAIN• Glasgow has the largest rail network in the UK outside London

• 20 trains per day from London – journey time just 4hrs 30 mins

GETTING AROUNDGlasgow is a very compact city and easy to navigate on foot. There is an excellent public transport system and special discounted travel tickets will be available for delegates.

The Joint European Magnetic Symposia

(JEMS) combine to form the most

important and comprehensive

conference on magnetism in Europe.

The Symposia will focus on a broad range of

topics addressing fundamental and applied

magnetism, and novel magnetic materials.

Plenary, semi-plenary and invited speakers

will give lectures on important recent

advances within each symposium, in addition

to contributed talks and poster sessions.

Participation by student and early career

scientists is welcomed and encouraged.
