Senior thesis project. A 100,000+ sqft cultural program to enhance the environment and general public in a specified location.
The project addresses current sociopolitical issues, providing a solution with an interior by integrating new technology for seamless functioning of an indivudual to their surroundings on an entertaining and educational level.
Exploratory Collaboration Laboratory for Advanement in Neurotechnology
Mimicking brain’s activity network, methods of connection, acuisition, and information ex-change promote a communicative infrastruc-ture. Exploring boundaries of exposure, research and exhibition areas weave vertically around one another and a central public core.

A VIRTUALLY RESPONSIVE ENVIRONMENT
A parametric woven sculpture expands and contracts, reacting to control temperature, air flow, and minor light control. The tow-er’s irrigation system virtually monitors and maintains tempera-ture, serving as part of the gray water cycle system.
SELF REGULATIONG CLIMATIZING CONTROL
Membrane skins parallel neural synapse pathways as they act and react to stimuli. Responding to users inside each space, membrane skins move based on each user’s pref-erence for visibility and air flow, and are also designed to function for the area’s specialized programatic needs. They accomodate both open and closed loop systems.

Located in the West Village, Kaori is an experien-tial scent shop featuring an olfactory vortex of fragrances that match body chemistry based on DNA .
Touch and see the latest techonolgical sensory produtcts, and customize your experience with our biosensor that finds your scientifically guaran-teed matching fragrances.
Olfactory Vortex Biosensory Scent Shop
Kaori produces an algoritim based on bell curves that put each customer in one of three cate-gories. Products are made with to chemically resonate with each body chemistry type. Upon entrance on the upper floor, the user explores a gallery showcasing innoviations and featured products, then proceeds to the lower level for DNA testing and personalized product selection.

PROGRAM
A younger generation of people has inhabited New York City’s Lower East Side. The neighbor-hood is recognized for its creative capital and cultural diversity among residents, but is currently lacking in health, environment, and housing qual-ity.
Providing a comprehensive healthcare experi-ence reflective of the vitality and energy present in today’s youth combined with advanced tech-nology, a General Practitioner’s office will serve the basic needs of the community’s developing population, and contribute to the revitalization of the neighborhood.
General Practitioner’s Medical Office
Taking inspiration from a General Practitioner’s fo-cus, the forms of the interior architecture develop from the human body. The spinal skeletal system, circulation system, and DNA contribute to devel-opment of design. The core houses reception, nurse station, and lab, and the perimeter houses exam areas, doctors offices, and operations.
