South Eastern Investment Con erence and Expo, dubbed SEICO 2011, is the premier and therst signature investment event in Kenya a ter the promulgation o the new constitution.
The County Governments, created by the new constitution will be the ocal points orinvestments and development.
Keninvest in partnership with Mutui Museo, Bola Associates Limited and other key public/private stakeholders have joined hands to organize SEICO 2011. Participating counties areMachakos, Makueni and Kitui. The three counties comprise the region popularly known asSouth Eastern Region - Kenya, in East A rica.
SEICO 2011 seeks to Provide In ormation, Networking Opportunities and o er one stopsolutions to Domestic Direct Investors (DDIs), Foreign Direct Investors (FDIs), Suppliers,Manu acturers, Policymakers, Development Partners as well as the general public.
SEICO 2011 will be held at a time when the 47 counties in Kenya are expected to receive billionso shillings rom the central government. This has not been the case since independence in1963.SEICO 2011 main objectives are:
Identi y and Implement home grown investment initiatives or lower Easternregion.
Identi y and approach strategic partners and networks (notably nancial Institutions,construction Firms, Manu acturers, Service providers, Venture Capitalists) amongothers to support the Investment programs.
Documentation o all Investment priorities and opportunities o the three SouthernEastern Region counties o Machakos, Makueni and Kitui.
Creation o a vibrant , interactive, healthy debate and discussion on the Investmentopportunities in each o the three Counties .The discussions will be driven and
acilitated by the local people using bottom - up approach.
