4. Concluding Remarks

4.1 Pisco earthquake produced a lot of of damage in non –

engineered buildings.However, many buildings had good

structural behaviour.

4.2 Seismic dissipation and isolation are recently applied

in Peruvian buildings to add damping. As a result, they

will improve their seismic response.

4.3 The Peruvian Seismic Code does not considere

anything about Energy Isolating and Dissipating

Devices.
