We have been offered the chance to run a coffee and cake stall at the New Rags Market in the Town Hall from 10am-3pm on the 12th September. We are looking for a group of Year 4-6 students who can help out on the stall for 1 or 2 hour blocks. Nearer the time we will also be asking families to donate some home baking.

The Kildare’s are running their very own burger stall at the Netball Finals Day on Saturday 12th September at the Colombo Courts. To celebrate our MasterChef learning this term we are looking for Kildare students to help make the burgers the day before and to help cook/serve them on the day. We are in the process of organizing a roster composed of hour blocks and would love to hear what part of the day suits you best to come down and join in the fun. The day will run from around 9.00 a.m. until approximately 3.00 p.m. with the final event being the “Bring It To Colombo Celebrity Final”.

Welcome To Junior Tennis 2015/16

We are delighted to launch junior tennis at MTC once again. Masterton Tennis centre is the hub of tennis in the Wairarapa, and we are looking forward to welcoming lots of new juniors this year. Registered juniors are invited to attend up to 14 supervised sessions on Saturdays at 147 Dixon St. The cost for Junior Registration this year is $50. (See junior registration form for more on costs). Saturday sessions commence at 9am. All sessions last 60minutes. The vision of our club is “more adults and young people enjoying tennis” and we would like to encourage parents to come along and play tennis with the children. Our junior committee will be working to deliver sessions which are fun and games based, but prioritise development. It is our intention to 1) attract, 2) retain and 3) develop young local tennis players. Session objectives will differ so as to add variety to what we offer. Junior tennis at the club is led by our head coach Chad Parson, and supported by Club Secretary Ruth Wiley. More information regarding the MTC junior tennis committee is below. We are pleased to confirm our entire calendar of Junior Club sessions. There is some potential for this calendar to be disrupted by tournament play, but there will be lots of notice given in these circumstances.

Chad Parson Head Coach [email protected] 0272765361

Ruth Wiley Club Secretary ruthwiley54@gmail 0273055344

Marie Millar Club Treasurer [email protected] 3786415

Peter Martin Club President [email protected] 3782684

Chad has responsibility for decisions regarding the running of Junior Tennis at the club. Each junior tennis session will go ahead except in the rare circumstance of extreme weather. This decision will be made as early as possible and communicated by email. Cancelled sessions will not be replaced. Junior Tennis at MTC is a NZ Tennis Hotshots Programme.
