Obtaining the Evidence

Pupils’ Books:• Do the pupils’ books include feedback for

improvement? • Does the feedback within the pupils’ books aid

understanding?

PRSD Lesson Observation:

• Does the lesson concentrate on ‘Feedback for improvement’ when appropriate?

• Are all pupils familiar with the concept of ‘feedback for improvement’ and use the feedback to improve their learning?

• What strengths emerge from the lesson when feedback for improvement is evident?

• What areas are there to develop within the lesson when using feedback for improvement?

Pupil self evaluationTarget Setting: All students set individual targets based upon baseline testing

Action Plan: All students categorised as underachieving are given action plans set by subject teachers, HOY or a member of SMT

Topic Self-evaluation: Students complete self-evaluation sheets at the end of each topic in most subjects

Mock Results Day: All students complete a self evaluation sheet at their Mock results day
