Non-veterans $3.00 Gary Ferris of Greenwich will bring a World War II radio show back to life. Mr. Ferris is a singer and musician who plays the trombone, horn and bugle. He’ll perform his one-man “Until Its Over Over There”. The show is modeled after the weekly radio show hosted by Glenn Miller and Bob Hope during the war and broadcast live to troops overseas and families at home. He will sing popular 1945 love ballads, tell jokes and read actual commercials and letters from troops. (See Roxanne Jenkins for more information). DON’T FORGET TO TURN YOUR CLOCKS BACK: JOSEPH CUTSHALL-KING 11:15-11:45 on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Kingsbury & Fort Edward Senior Center Joseph Cutshall-King, author and storyteller, will speak on November 14th at the Senior Center regarding the history of the Fort Edward/Kingsbury region. From 1994 to 2003, he wrote weekly columns in The Post Star that combined regional history, running commentary and personal reminiscences called "Over My Shoulder" and “Passed Times.” He has published two books, “Over My Shoulder 1” and “2”, which are collections of his Post Star articles, all delivered with humor, sometimes with acid commentaries, but always with the ideal that history should be factual and enjoyable, and not torture. There are personal stories of the people in Greater Glens Falls Region. In his books you might find a friend’s name—you might even find your own! NATIONAL GAMES AND PUZZLE WEEK We will celebrate National Puzzle Week at the Senior Center on Monday and Tuesday, November 25-26 (Thank you to Centers Health Care for furnishing puzzle books!)
