The 2010 of Senior Class Lasting Memories 1997 was a year detailed in the tragedy of Princess Diana’s death, and the sheer joy of seeing the comet, Hale-Bop, so close to Earth. But even with the world seeing so much hope and tragedy, the 23 students who took their first steps into kindergarten only knew of wonder and awe. This class started their first 2 years off in Rosalie, then trekked their way through the rest of elementary in Bancroft, then through Junior High and finally high school. But even if as the setting changed, one thing did not – they continued to learn and grow with each other. Teaching one another what one did not know. And through their 13-year long trek, this class has created many memo- ries made of tears, smiles and laughs. The final memory they can make together is graduation. On May 14th 2010, they will find that their journey has ended. Once this group moves their tassels, they will have to embark on their own separate journey into adulthood. Many tears, some of joy and some out of sadness, will be shed when this group goes on their own separate journey. These kids will have to say goodbye to their families, their friends, and the school that has been the place where they have learned the most. Com- mencement exercise will begin at 6:30 in the Bancroft-Rosalie gym. The class color is navy and silver, with a white rose tipped in blue as their class flower. Class motto is: “Life brings us tears, smiles and memories. The tears dry, the smiles fade but the memories last forev- er.” And their class song is “Our Lives” by The Calling. Erin Beutler will give this years’ Valedictorian speech, and Kalene Anderson will give the Salutatorian speech. For the class of 2010 – this journey has been the time in your life where you created the best memories with your friends, family, and fellow classmates. As you embark on your own journey, may you never forget the times you have had here at Bancroft-Rosalie and who helped make you who you are today. Good luck with the rest of your lives, and hopefully you find everything you are looking for but never forget where you first started your long journey. “The journey between what you once were and who you are now becoming is where the dance of life really takes place.” May 14, 2010 SPECIAL EDITION Page by Anna Bailey
