Tournament Conditions

1. Participants must be aged 55 years (ladies 50 years) prior to 5 May 2008. * Players with handicap 0-18 play stroke. * Players with handicap 19-27 play stableford. * Ladies with handicap 0-45 play stableford. 2. Entry fees to be paid at time of entry. No refund on entry fees for cancellations within one week of event. 3. The committee of Cobram-Barooga Golf Club Limited shall have entire management of the tournament, including handicapping, with power to alter any handicap at any time prior to any event. 4. The competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by the R&A Rules Limited, together with such Local Rules as are in force on the course over which the competition takes place. If a dispute arises on any point, it shall be decided by the Committee in charge of the competition, whose decisions shall be final. 5. Entrants shall be Amateurs who are members of the Clubs of the Victorian Golf Association or of Golf Clubs registered with such state or overseas associations as are affiliated with or recognised by the association, or of Clubs affiliated with the Victorian Golf League, and the committee shall have the right to refuse the entry of any person without being required to give a reason for such refusal. 6. Competitors must state the name of their home club, their handicap and Golf Link number. Players without Golf Link number to provide proof of handicap with entry. 7. The Committee of the Cobram-Barooga Golf Club Limited, subject to Condition 3, shall have the power to deal with any dispute or protest, which shall be lodged in writing with the Secretary prior to presentations on the day of which the matter has arisen. 8. The Committee may in the event of bad weather, or any other reason either shorten or fix another day, and in the case of a tie/s, for the 54 scratch, a sudden death playoff over holes 1, 2, 3 and 9 of the Old Course, all other events by count back. In the event that a sudden death playoff cannot be continued due to bad light/weather, the committee shall have the sole power to determine the result. 9. Players are eligible to win one trophy per day excluding 54 hole event. 10. Presentation of trophies will be held each day at 6.00pm. 54 hole event trophies will be presented at Presentation D i n n e r on Thursday night. 11. Mobile phones are not permitted on the golf course during tournament play. 12. Entries close Friday, 18th April 2008. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Tournament Director. 13. Participants are required to adhere to dress regulations at all times. 14. The event is run under the auspices of the VGA Seniors Golf Program. 15. Handicap levels 18 and under (men) will be eligible for Order of Merit points. 16. Conditions of entry for the Australian Order of Merit and Victorian Order of Merit will apply. 17. Competitors are permitted to ride in or on a motorised vehicle during any round of the Championship. It should be noted that the hire or provision of such transport is at the competitors own expense subject to arrangement and agreement with the Club. 18. The field for the Tournament will be limited to 192 men and 100 ladies. In the event of entries exceeding the number of available places in the Tournament, a ballot will be undertaken with players on the highest handicaps subject to elimination. Early bird entries will not be included in the ballot. 19. Electronic measurement devices are permitted to be used.
