• Due: Monday
• Bring in an object to submerge into plaster.
• Small – around the size of a fist or smaller.
• Not valuable or precious as it cannot be reused.
Submerging your object in plaster - Steps
1. Place tinfoil scrunched up inside tray.
2. Fill it with sand so it is 1/3 full.3. Submerge part of your object
in the sand (this will be visible after.
4. Mix plaster with water (quickly) in a bowl until you achieve a smooth, cake like texture.
5. Pour in the plaster and leave to set for 24 hours.
6. Clean mixing bowl etc.
Using plaster
• Wash your hands straight after use.
• Only pour wet plaster down the sink. Leave the tap to run after.
Painting your plaster cast.
• Use a wash of acrylic combined with PVA to seal the plaster.
• Colour: ‘browny’ yellow in the style of Woodrow

the paper and take photos based upon one idea or photographer.
• Present as contact sheets.
