Namdaemun Market: the largest general market in Korea recommended for early morning shoppers and filled

with numerous food alleys

‣‣ Buildings G and F selling ladies’ and children’s clothes are open for the early morning market.

⁍ Ladies’ clothing: As a main sales category in Namdaemun Market, ladies’ clothing is produced and

sold by each shop and thus can be purchased at reasonable prices.

⁍ Children’s clothing: The market trades more than 90% of children’s clothes sold nationwide, with each

shop independently manufacturing and selling them.

‣‣ Visitors can enjoy boiled barley, spicy buckwheat noodles and Kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) in Kalguksu

Alley of the market at low prices and try the market’s own traditional braised or grilled cutlassfish in

Galchijorim (braised cutlassfish) Alley from early in the morning.

2015 Seoul Drum Festival presented by renowned local and overseas percussionists and citizen

drummers

‣ ‣ It will show Seoul’s dynamic urban images through various programs and offer enjoyment and

satisfaction to foreign tourists through exhilarating nonverbal performances.

⦁ Total tourists of 300 or more: 6,000,000 won⦁ Total tourists of 500 or more: 10,000,000 won⦁ Total tourists of 1,000 or more: 20,000,000 won Amount (in KRW)

✦ Incentive payment will be provided to tourists recruited from July to November in order to revitalize the tourism industry due to MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome).

⦁ Tourist hotels or higher-level hotels in Seoul (stays of at least two nights) ⦁ Includes Hanok (traditional Korean-style house) stay, temple stay, Goodstay, Hi Seoul Youth Hostels, Korea Stay

✦ Peak season (April~October): One night at a tourist hotel in the Gyeonggi/Incheon area allowed ✦ Winter tourism products (November~December): One night at a tourist hotel in the Gyeonggi or

Gangwon area allowed

Meal

⦁ Minimum of KRW 20,000 per person for two to three meals per tour product and at least two days in Seoul ⁍ Minimum of KRW 6,000/person for one meal ✦ Lunch or dinner ✦ Restaurants in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas ✦ Breakfast excluded from evaluation (breakfast at a tourist hotel recognized once only)

Attraction

⦁ Minimum of KRW 15,000 per person for admission to two or three tourist spots or fees for hands-on experience events at two or three tourist spots

⁍ Minimum of KRW 5,000 per person for admission to one tourist spot ⁍ `The minimum admission fee requirement is not applied to the paid tourist spots included in

Seoul Tour+ published in 2014 and 2015 or the Seoul City Festival.

Guide⦁ Certified tour guides fluent in the chosen language ⁍ Not applicable to tourism products related to the Southeast Asian region (including Thailand,

Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia)
