The Welfare Team
Forward by Capt Alison Bunce
A lot has happened since the last edition of Any Old Iron. The end of July culminated in a wonderful if
not rather warm re-subordination parade followed by a most enjoyable BBQ and fun day.
I do hope you have all enjoyed a good leave and a rest from work and feel refreshed for what lookslike being a busy few months up to Christmas. From 1 Sep 14 the Regiment is now called 3 SignalRegiment as we lose the Divisional Headquarters. We welcome our new CO, Lt Col AJ Smith and hisfamily to Bulford and hope they have an enjoyable time with us. We also welcome a new member of theWelfare Team to the Regiment. WO2 Rob Plews who takes over as the Welfare Warrant Officer. We
hope he and his family who have recently returned from Cyprus don’t find it too cold here and settlequickly into life in UK.
Don’t forget to put your names in the draw for free tickets to Paulton’s Park on 21 Sep 14. We will beholding a Big Brew Up to raise money for SSAFA in the week 6 – 10 Oct 14 so please get baking so wecan raise as much money as possible for our local Salisbury Plain branch. Coffee mornings will bestarting again at the Beeches every Thursday so put it in your diaries now the kids are back at school.
If you have any questions or queries please give the Welfare Team a call or pop into the Haig Centrefor a chat – we are here to help.
Take care
Alison
