Status of Rai University, Ahmedabad in theeyes of UGC

Vide UGC Letter no. 5-3/2016 (CPP-I/PU), Rai University, Ahmedabad

has been established by an Act of State Legislature of Gujarat as a

Private University and is empowered to award degrees as specied

under Section 22 of the UGC Act through its main campus in regular

mode with the approval of Statutory Bodies/Councils, wherever it is

required.

Rai University, Ahmedabad is a Self Financed Private University

enacted under “Gujarat Private University Act, 2009” passed by the

Gujarat Legislature and assented by the Governor on 10th April, 2012

(Gujarat Act No. 12 of 2012).

2013/85/KH-1, Dated 19th February, 2013 approved the First Statute

of the Rai University, which authorizes the Rai University to offer and

Law Courses being run by School of Law, Rai University, Ahmedabad

are approved by BCI (Bar Council of India) vide Letter No. BCI:

D:901/2018 (LE/Afin) Dated 11th July, 2018.
