Christian Sympathy

Who's Your One?: By now you should be one of two people:

1) You could be the person who is prayerfully asking the Lord,

"Who is that one person you want me to be

intentional about reaching out to during 2019?" This week, let us

know who that person is by writing their name on a white ping-

pong ball and dropping it in one of the containers at the main en-

trances.

Or, 2) You could be the person who already has identified your

"one" to reach out to and are intentionally and actively doing

what it takes to build a relationship and share the Good News of

Jesus with them. When you share the gospel, please place a red

ping-pong ball with their name on it in the container. When they

receive Jesus, please drop a green ball in the container and put

your name and their name on it.

May the containers overflow with evidence of our faithfulness!

MEN’S BROTHERHOOD BREAKFAST

SEPTEMBER 21—7:30 A.M.

Would You Like to Help a Child?

Tutoring is beneficial to children; and, rewarding for adults! We will resume tutoring on September 23, 7-8 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall.

We are grateful that most of our regular and substitute tutors are returning from last year. In order to serve both returning students and some already on our Waiting List, however, we need more tutors.

Most of our students need help with reading and math. We need tutors for students in Grades 1-12. Students bring their home-work. We also furnish worksheets and other materials for tutors to use with their students. EVERYONE IS QUALIFIED TO HELP A CHILD AT SOME GRADE LEVEL. PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS NOT NEEDED!

**Several 10th graders are requesting tutoring in Honors Eng-

lish, World History and Spanish. **

Please phone Jim & Peggy Abernathy (336-299-3355) for more information AND to volunteer!

~To David Moore and family on the passing of his brother, Leonard Moore.

With Love, Mary & Stuart Smith

Thank you so much for all your kind words and prayers over the past month during my surgery and recovery and for my Mom as well after her accident. We are so grateful that we have such a wonderful church family to lean on in times of need! With love, Mary and Stuart Smith

TRIP TO HEAR FRANKLIN GRAHAM SPEAK

David Moore will be driving the church bus to take FABC people to hear

Franklin Graham speak at the White Oak Amphitheater, Greensboro Coli-

seum Complex, on October 9th, leaving the bus parking lot here about 6

p.m. The service begins at 7 p.m. If you would like to go, contact David

or Gwyn Moore at 336-908-0591 or 336-908-0543.

Wednesday Night Supper September 18th - Teriyaki Grilled Chicken, Creamy Noodles,

Green Beans, Salad, Roll, Dessert

Deadline for Reservations (if not on permanent list) and Cancellations MUST be made by 5:00 pm

on Mondays.

AM I SERVING GOD BY HELPING HIS CHILDREN? Please ask yourself this question as you read this.

As more families with children come to FABC, additional help is needed in the children’s ministries. Which of the following will you be willing to do?

1. Serve with the 2-year-olds or 3-year olds in Sunday School every other month? (Two people serve together)

2. Serve during the 11 o’clock service in one of five worship care classes (ages varying from preschool through 5 years) – 1 time every 3 months)? (At least one other person will serve with you.)

WILL YOU PLEASE HELP? Laura Clontz is working very hard, and your help is greatly needed! Please contact Laura at 336-292-3567, Extension 311,

to let her know you will help.
