Infrastructure Requirements
▪ Charging of the vehicle can use the industry standard SAEJ-1772 connector or a Type-1 CCS DC connector.
▪ For Level-2 charging maximum of 19.2kW you’ll need 220Volt Service and an available 100 amp circuit breaker (charger will pull about 70 amps of current).
▪ For Level-3 DC fast charging, the batteries can handle up to 60 kWh, charging the bus in 2-3 hours.
▪ V2G is now a standard feature on all Blue Bird EVs with the CCS Type-1 connector and bi-directional charging.
