I was, and am s5ll, blessed by all your prayers, food, cards and phone calls on my behalf. My journey has been a rough one, but the love, prayers and concern truly were felt by me and my family. Music Notes…. We had a great turnout for the Community Choir Christmas preview

August 28. The music is beau5ful and will be a wonderful part of our

Christmas focus. There’s room for more, so if you know of someone

who would enjoy singing, let them know that they’re welcome.

Rehearsals for the celebra5on choir have resumed aCer the summer

off. If you love to sing and aren’t currently singing with us, join us at

5:00 PM Sundays for rehearsal.

Finally, I want to say thank you for all the kind expressions of love,

apprecia5on, and giCs for Brenda and I at our 20th anniversary cele-

bra5on. Words are not adequate to express how much having the

opportunity to serve at FBC has meant to me over these 20 years. I

am forever grateful for your love and support. May God con5nue to

bless you as you’ve blessed us.

Daniel

Church Family

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God

who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him

and keep his commandments, to a thousand genera5ons…” Deu-

teronomy 7:9

First Bap5st Canyon Lake has observed the truth of this passage

played out before her. God con5nues to move as He always has.

God con5nues to work as He always has. God con5nues to bless as

He always has. He never changes. He is FAITHFUL.

We have made it through a busy and produc5ve summer! God

used VBS and Pre-Teen & Youth Camp to affect the lives of our kids

and teenagers. God opened up new doors for work in Eastern Col-

orado. God used people from First Bap5st to help people in the

Dominican Republic. God gave the resources for us to put paint on

the walls and new flooring in different parts of the church. God has

begun a new sponsorship program for orphans in Hai5. God has

worked diligently through bible studies on Wednesday nights. God

has brought students up in leadership in the youth ministry. God

has brought new men, women, and children to worship and serve

here at First Bap5st. God has used our Disaster Relief teams to

bring loving aid to those in need.

I expect God to con5nue to move and work in LIFEGroups, Sunday

School, Student Ministry, AWANA, our community and school in-

volvement, and all of our missions endeavors. I’m not wri5ng all of

this to give FBC a pat on the back, though maybe she deserves it!

Instead, I’m wri5ng all of this to highlight God’s faithfulness to us in

the past months and to encourage you to trust in His faithfulness

in the coming months. Pray and ask Him to con5nue to faithfully

work at FBC Canyon Lake, and have faith that He will come

through.

Trus5ng Him,

Brian

Volunteer Opportuni5es

Many of you have signed up to serve at the Welcome Center each

Sunday morning for one of our worship services. We con5nue to

need folks who will fill those posi5ons so that we can rotate the

volunteers. We also need nursery volunteers. Sign up at the Wel-

come Center if you are willing to assist us.
